Hi, I am a long time migraine sufferer- my headaches went away for the most part during the second half of my pregnancy but have resurfaced now that my daughter's 7 weeks old. Looking for a good doctor who knows a lot about or specializes in migraines in LA, also any advice about migraine relief & having them while caring for a baby (i feel vulnerable and worried about this..) Thanks!

I am also a migraine sufferer. I had not a single migraine the entire time I was pregnant, or until my daughter was 6 months old. The best doctor I know is a Dr. Kudrow.

I also found relief from Biofeedback - so much so, that I went back to school and became a biofeedback therapist. I take imitrex, but safe meds depend on if you are breast feeding, or not. Imitrex has saved me. Contact me if you want more info. I understand - people that don't get headaches, do not understand how completely debilitating they are.

Hi A.. See Dr.Mike at the Universal City Medical and Wellness Group in Studio City. His number is ###-###-####. He's an awesome chiropractor who has dealt with many a migraine sufferer. He's got great bedside manner to boot. Believe me, he will help you. Good luck.

I see a neurologist, Dr. DiJulio, in Long Beach. I am now on daily medication whic is not ideal, but my migranes have been reduced from 1-2 per week down to less than one per month. I take one medication twice daily and then carry maxalt to take at the first sign of a migrane so when I do get one it is not that bad.

A., Drink, drink, drink, before during and after nursing. Dehydration will bring on a migraine like nobody's business. Also, take naps with your daughter. Try to get as much sleep as is possible with a 7 week old baby. If you can afford to, get massages. Really pamper and baby yourself whenever you can. One more thing that you might not find too appealing if you have never done them before -- colon hydrotherapy. This is the single best thing that has helped me to prevent migraines. Seriously. I go here www.bodyzalive.com but I didn't check to see where you live before posting, so this might not be helpful if you don't live near Santa Monica. Best of luck! Congratulations on bringing a brand new being into the world -- hang on, you're in for a wild ride. I just want to add that the healing from delivery takes much, much longer than you imagined. (Like 9 months in my case to have my body seem balanced and normal again.) Take care.

Most if not all physical and mental problems are allergy or deficiency related. Look into NAET.com for allergy eliminations. I have less headaches than I've ever had and I am losing weight and loving my body for the 1st time in my life.

Be well.
