Midwife Recommendation, near the Colony, Tx

I am looking for a Certified Nurse Midwife (midwife with a medical background) near my home. I was not happy with the Allen Birthing Center. I am looking for a professional group of midwives or midwife.
I would really like it if the midwife could do the prenatal appointment in my home, but it is not a must. I moved here to Dallas a little over a year ago. I have had one UCSD, San Diego birth Center birth and one home birth. Both of my babies were born healthy and the births were uncomplicated. Let me know if you have any suggestions!

thanks

Naomi

I can recommend Innana Birth and Women's Care in Denton. Although it is about 20-30 minutes (depending on traffic) from The Colony, it would be well worth the drive. I have known women who drive four hours or more to go to Inanna. I do not think they do home prenatal appointments, but you may can ask.

I second Inanna in Denton. They're kind of a drive but like the other poster said they have mamas come from Waco and even Oklahoma to deliver there. So far they've been very caring, understanding, and helpful. They seem to have a good balance between holistic and medical options - I feel confident they will support me to have a natural birth with nothing invasive, yet they also are able to monitory my hypothyroidism and give me Zofran for hyperemesis.

I was also going to suggest Barefoot Midwifery. I haven't personally had any experience with Cori but I know people who have and have been happy. Good luck!!
