So my menu ideas of steaks has fallen through - long story - and I need some grilling ideas for TONIGHT! What would you serve if you had a couple coming tonight for dinner and wanted to serve something other than your basic burgers?

Thank you in advance, Ladies!

We like to grill salmon (with a spicy rub and then serve with a mango salsa) or homemade pizzas. Also a nice pork loin that has been marinaded is a great thing to grill. You can serve it with a yummy sauce or you can slice it and have everyone make sandwiches with soft rolls. Yum.

Marinated pork chops! We buy a loin and cut the steaks into about 1 inch slices. We marinate them in some maple syrup, soy sauce, and garlic. YUMMMMM.

Seasoned salmon steaks. We found some at Sams that we really like. Straight from the freezer to the grill.

Seasoned burgers. Add a package of ranch seasoning mix (they have several different flavors).

Definitely agree with marinating chicken - we do Italian dressing and soy sauce. You could butterfly the chicken before you do that.

Kabobs - chicken, pineapple, peppers, onions. You could also marinate this chicken.

Frozen pizza on the grill - buy a really well made (ie: not cheap) brand of frozen pizza and grill it.

Brat burgers - they have these at Sams.

Fish - Halibut or Tilapia.

You could also do packets on the grill - (potatoes, butter, onions and garlic in one, misc veggies with butter and garlic in another)

What about fish? The recipe in the link below is really good and it's extremely easy. You grill it in foil packets so its easy clean up too. You could do chicken kabobs served over a bed of rice. I think allrecipes has a good chili-lime chicken kabob recipe.

I love to BBQ and smoke on my grill. I use mesquite as my smoke of choice. There are so many recipes you can use to get the smoke flavor in the meat and vegetables without a lot of expense and bother.

You've already received some wonderful ideas. I personally love kabobs. Shrimp are my favorite and very easy to cook on the grill. Grilled veggies (squash, carrots, peppers), corn on the cob grilled is amazing (keep the corn in their husks, soak for 30 minutes or more in water, place on grill turning occassionally, remove from grill remove husks when ready to eat).

Chicken breasts are amazing on the grill. Marinate them in teriake sauce, or what ever you want to marinate them in. Even cutting them up into squares and making kaboobs are great. A nice butter with garlic sauce is delicious or even a sweet and sour sauce like Saucy Susan is succulant.
