I was due to get my period 3 days ago, I have all the normal symptoms, really bad cramps, etc...but still no blood. It feels like I have my period, but I have yet to bleed. this is the strangest thing...I am definately not pregnant, I had a tubal ligation 3 yrs. ago when I had a C-Section. Also, I am 44 years old and have only one ovary, I had one removed last year..any thoughts?

What can I do next?

Sometimes freaky cycles happen. I have had the odd 31-day cycle (I'm normally 27 days), and once or twice I've completely skipped the bleeding part of a period. I would give it a couple more days. Also never hesitate to call your doctor for reassurance. Good luck!

If this were me, (I'm 31, not on the pill, no tubes tied) I would wait 30 minutes and then see the blood. The cramps come first for me, that's how I know I'm going to start my period later that day.

I agree with Marda, it sounds like your experiencing premature menopause. You should speak to your GYN about your symptoms and I know he/she'll put your mind at ease. good luck

I feel like a bubble for about a week before my period comes....make a note of this info on your calendar.

Perhaps you're starting into peri-menopause.
