I wanted to get a gift subscription for a man and he is into Cars and stereos. I know that there are some magazines out there I just dont know the names of them. Do any of you wise ladies know of any good ones? Do you know what the magazine called Maxim is?
If you was to google Maxim it would tell you more about it on line (seems to be a milder Playboy). You might also google cars magazines and that may give you some more ideas. I do know if he is in to stock car racing Speedway Illustrated is a good one.
I don't know about cars but my husband is a stereo guy and gets Stereophile Magazine. Maxim is like the guys version of Glamour or something like that. Articles, guy gossip about women, sports, etc.
My husband has an old car and he likes "Car and Driver." I read some of the letters and stuff sometimes and they are quite humorous.
I don't know about Maxim, but there's a good one called Men's Journal.
Maxim is Cosmo, for men.
Maxim is actually a great magazine. If you're wanting something with actual reading material and a touch of "girls", it's perfect. There is no nudity. Lots of humorous information. I read my husband's all the time.
I don't know about car or stereo magazines, but I do know that the Maxim mag. is like Playboy, but the women have a LITTLE more clothes on. TRASHY
Road and Track for cars and stereophile for stereos.
My husband loves "Car and Drivers". It keeps him up to date on all the new cars that have just come out and what the future cars might be. They have some fun testing results that I even enjoy reading along with other short articles about car upkeep and new "toys" that can be gotten for your car (stereos, lights, wheels and so on).
Maxim to me is a trashy magazine, a milder playboy type with some "sexy/funny" articles. Personally would not get that for my man or even guy friend, then again I am not a fan of the Cosmo, Glamor, ect that are put out for the women. Maxim really will have nothing related to cars or stereos if that what you are looking for.
My husband is very into stereos... to the point that he built our subwoofer and the one for his car. Stereophile is a good one. Car mags however vary pretty drastically depending on the kind of cars he likes.
Crutchfield is a stereo magazine I think- but it's a catalogue not a magazine. If there is a specific car your husband is interested in- that would be more helpful- google on the internet is your best bet. My husband likes national geographic actually.
I have gotten my husband Maxim, which is trashy and dumb, and Esquire, with I find very interesting, sexy and well written. We still get Esquire and enjoy it.
Well just kinda was wondering what type of cars he is into, old muscle cars? If so I know my husband gets Mopar muscle and also Super Chevy magazines. He loves both magazines and find that the articles are good reads as well as helpful hints on what is out there and good tips. Hope this helps!
