Even though your mother is deceased, do you know anything about how her cycle worked? Or any of her siblings? I take more after my aunt than my mom with woman things, so maybe you can learn more about your family through any relatives that might still living.

If there is any doubt, talk to your OB. I'm sure it's not all that unusual. I feel bad for you, you shouldn't have to deal with periods anymore! Good luck, I'm sure everything is fine!

Don't worry, be happy! No really, menopause begins at a variety of ages, as long as you feel well and your doctor says you're ok, you are just young for your age. I'm 46 with a 2 year old, so I hope I'm young for mine!

I think you are ok. I just turned 54 this month and my periods started getting fewer at age 53. Some months I would get it and then it would skip and I would think I was done and it would come back. But I'm all done now. Wasn't too bad with the hot flashes also.

My mother is nearly 70 and she still has a period every now and again. She is not taking prescription meds for her menopause, but herbal remedies.
What kind of beauty tips do you need. I will be selling Seriesse Skin Care products soon. There are products for just about every issue. You can see it on QVC.

I'm sorry about your mom, M.. I started menopause last year at 36 - I'm 37 now. I cannot go by my mom's as she had had a hysterectomy back in the 70s. My eldest sister started menopause about 40 or so; my other sister, who's 2 years older than me, hasn't begun yet. Like the other poster said, menopause can start at a variety of ages. If you continue to be concerned, my advice to you is to discuss it with your doctor.

Yes that quit normal. Some of my friends are near 60 and still have a period. My GYN told me once that menopause
probably wouldn't start until I was 55.
