Hi Ladies,
I have a question to ask I have not had a period since October of 2011 about a week ago I had the symptoms of a regular period. Sore breast, cramps then I started bleeding. It has me worried has anyone gone through this??? My doctor is sending me to a specialist to find out if anything is wrong.
PS: I am now enrolled to take my LVN class.

What can I do next?

Congratulation for starting licensed vocational nursing training.

As to sudden symptoms, I've not heard of anyone having not had periods, due to menopause, after not having them for 1 1/2 years. Yes, intermittent periods during menopause but not a year and half without and then having one, no.

You could do that kind of thing for a while. Crazy, isn't it? Good to get checked out but most likely just a fluctuation, a blip on the radar.

You probably need a little biopsy (no big deal) to make sure that your endometrial cells aren't precancerous. Just have this done. You'll feel much better when you do.

Congrats on the LVN class!!

Definitely check it out. I would go up to 6 months then my period would start again but a year and a half sound like a long time. However, I did have many months where I would bleed for like a minute - the doctor said it was just the lining of the uterus, no egg. If I didn't happen to look at the right moment I would miss it. Then once in awhile I would get an actual egg that came out - normal period, cramps. Maybe something like this was happening to you? See what the doctor says. Good luck!

I hated menopause. I bled for months then nothing for months. I had mood swings, anxiety, all sorts of stuff going on.

For the first time in my life I am not wearing sweat pants and tops in the middle of summer when riding in the vehicle with hubby. Suddenly feeling totally hot all the time is so odd for me.
