To clarify a few things... you already know that Melaleuca is NOT a scam, they are a reputable company that has won numerous awards, this can be checked out at www.melaleucaawards.com . You can be a direct customer which means you can order as little or as much as you like, without the commitmnet each month. However, you will pay retail price which is 30-40% higher per product, you won't get the $100 in free products and can't get a commission check. There are people who will let friends/family order from their membership, but I don't recommend that anyone do it this way, it is too complicated to figure out shipping and the right costs to each other. It also doesn't benefit the person who has the membership, if anything, it complicates it.
I have been customer doing the business for 7 years now. My suggestion is to set up your membership, shop for a few months and see from that if you do spend $60-70 a month (total cost including shipping and taxes for a basic 35 point order). If then, you don't see you spending that much each month, you can switch to a direct customer without the commitment of the points. I wondered about the points in the beginning but what I found was the opposite, there are so many things we buy and use, that we do 70-100 points a month, we are a family of 5, so don't let the commitment scare you.
It is also easy to cancel if you need to, just follow the instructions on the website, the only thing about cancelling, is that you have to do so by the 25th of the month to take effect that same month. Feel free to PM me if you have questions.
