Hi S., I've been a Melaleuca customer for 4 1/2 years and ordering every month is simply switching where I buy what I need. I used to go into Wal-Mart once a week or once every two weeks thinking I only needed a couple of items. Well I always ended up with a cartful. Now I shop online or thru the toll-free number and my order is delivered to my door so not only am I saving with the products that are a better value but I'm saving on gas!

I understand that Melaleuca products are really good, however, if you want to order from a company that has no monthly commitment, Shaklee (which has been around since 1956 - much longer than Melaleuca and in fact now has two of the top people moved over from Melaleuca) is fantastic. If you'd like me to show you some of the products so that you can touch/feel/smell before buying, I'd be glad to come to your home. Here's my site if you want to take a peak: www.shaklee.net/healthyfriends I hope to hear from you.

If you want a safe and healthy company with great products to go with I do not recommend you go with this company. I have been studying mlm companies for more than 10 years, I read the list of ingredients in all companies products. This company still manufactures products with known carcinogens, read the labels, cocoamide DEA, TEA, triethanolamine, mineral oil, peg, pg. All ingredients you do not want to use. I have been using Neways Int. products for over 10 years. They are a 20 year old manufactures the safest products in the world. If you want to do this as a business, it is free to sign up, free website, free support.no advertising restrictions. Affordable products, comp plan easy, the nicest people in the world. Endorsed by the Cancer Prevention Coalition and Dr. Samuel Epstein. I would love to help you build a successful home business with safe and healthy home products.

Melaleuca is a wonderful company with awesome products! We have been with the company for over 8 years now and have never had a problem with the minimum monthly order.
The idea behind it is to 'switch stores'. Instead of driving to the store several times and buying the products there that you need, you order what you need once a month. It does take practice to remember to order everything you will need for the month instead of just running to the store every time you need something but as you figure out how long things last it gets a lot easier. We keep a list on the computer and if someone notices that we are getting low on something they add it to the list.
Another thing to keep in mind is that you are not spending more or new money you are just switching to a different store. Lets say you are buying something at your local grocery store but you discover that a store across town has a similar product that is better and costs less AND they will deliver it right to your door AND even pay your for shopping with them (loyalty shopping dollars and commissions). Which is easier and more economical?
Another plus is that the prices of the products are not constantly rising. In the 8 years we have been with the company the prices have only changed once! A few went up a few cents and a few went down a few cents and most didn't change at all.
If you have any other questions or concerns feel free to contact me.

Hi S.,
The business will work for you if you work for the business. There is no other way to do it. Nothing is free and if you aren't talking to people every day about it, you won't have a business, no matter what business you go into to. Melaleuca has a 94% REORDER rate, not many, if any home business companies can even come close to that.
Melaleuca's compensation plan is not MLM, it pays much better and we get to keep our leaders where as in MLM, they can "breakaway" and take a big chunk of your hard work and organization with them. Something to think about. We have reps from MLM companies coming to Melaleuca once they learn about the comp plan.
I've been a Melaleuca customer for almost 4 years now. I was very nervous in the beginning when I switched over but it didn't take me long to forget all about the store brands. I love the products and would never switch back to a store brand. I save money on the cleaning products because they are concentrated (many other products are concentrated also) and I'm not IMPULSE shopping when I go to the store. At times, I could spend at least $50 more than I went for when I went shopping.
The most important reason I switched and will stay with Melaleuca is because of the hazardous chemicals in other products. I have fibromyalgia (which chemical exposure may have contributed to) and I was not willing to take the chance of exposing my family to that. Melaleuca is an environmentally responsible company, and has been for the 23 years they have been in business. Going green is nothing new to them. I trust them! Can you say that about Proctor and Gamble or Johnson and Johnson?
Do you and your kids take vitamins and supplements? If not, you may want to think about it. I didn't before I became ill and never thougt I would need to. I was very wrong. Today, you need 10 servings of vegetables per day to equal just one serving from about 50 years ago. That means we are depriving ourselves of nutrients which in turn eventually leads to health issues. That's half of your minimum order right there!
Not to mentioned the possible life saving benefits of our health specific supplements compared to dangerous and expensive prescription drugs. There is NO comparison!
I've never had any problem with the minimum monthly shopping as some of the posters here have mentioned. In fact, I always need much more than that. The minimum averages out to about $15-$20 a week. Anyone that can 'honestly' say they don't spend that much at the regular store is, well, not being honest.
Sit down and add up all the things you purchase now on a monthly basis, including items you may have to purchase more than once a month. I think you'll find that Melaleuca's products last alot longer and are going to save you some money.
The question you have to ask yourself is this...
Do I want to make my home safer for my family or would I rather continue to roll the dice on our health and use the store brands. Because eventually, something's going to give and you may find yourself in my position with no way to turn back the clock.
Here's a 10 minute video you can watch about environmental toxins and how they are connected to health problems. It's well worth your time. www.sharethecause.com/T.
I hope this all helps you.

As a home-business owner, I have heard of Melaleuca and some of my customers are Melaleuca reps and Melaleuca customers. Just like with any other mutli-level company, you will find pros and cons. It's important that you believe in the products 100% and be comfortable with the monthly minimum shipments (if any). It is an important decision so be sure to do research and whatever choice you make.....make sure that it is the right one for you.
You have every reason to be worried, skeptical, and very cautious. It's good that you have that kind of minset ... it will save you a ton of frustration! There are far too many schemes, scams, and people who are more than willing to take your money and promise you a slice of Heaven. What you are usually deliverd is a chunk of Hell.
As a professional network marketer, coach, and mentor, I would like to strongly suggest that you get some training FIRST before you join ANY online business. I've helped over 200 people to learn the skills for success through an organization called MentoringForFree. There is never a penny charged for any of the training, coaching, and mentoring. And it's well worth the time to learn what to look out for in a company, how to evaluate the compensation plan, investigate the leadership in the company, etc.
Save yourself a lot of expense and a great deal of heartache, S.. Get the knowledge you need first ... the truth and the straight scoop about network marketing and how to be truly successful
It would be my privilege to help you in any way that I can ... for FREE.
I have been ordering from Melaleuca and sharing it with others since February. I really like their cleaning products, the shampoo and body washes, soaps, toothpaste, laundry detergent, etc. I have gotten about 5 people signed up so far and hope to sign up others. I have had a couple of people say that they don't know what to order every month, but you need to encourage people to think of it as "replacement" shopping. They would be buying items similar to what they would otherwise buy, only Melaleuca's products are safer and mostly less expensive. And it's more convenient to have the products delivered to them at home. Plus if they share the company with just a few people they could receive a check themselves!
I hope that helps and good luck!

The messages about the company point out the real solution to any business. You need to be your own best customer.
I don't have a minimum amount that I have to order each month with my business and I would be more than happy to show you our business plan. The compensation plan is the best in the business (so says an outside source) and the products are organic and natural and made by the company.
Check out my site and get some info from these other sites also.
I LOVE my Melaleuca products! I do NOT like their monthly insistence of 35 points though. So, what I do is I have folks I order for to ensure I get them the products they want, without the hassle of signing up. I'm not into creating a multi-level marketing program for myself, and out much rather purchase these products some other way...but I just love the products and want to buy them, and I don't know anyone else that would do this. So, if you're interested, I can be your sales rep like I am for my friends and family. Otherwise, you'll need to budget for between $60-$100 month to keep up the 35 point commitment. Cheers, C.

The Melaleuca products are great, however you can get natural products equally as good at Trader Joes or Henry's for about half the price. I was with Melalueca and tried to make it a business, but I quit when they started using artifial sweetners (sucralose/splenda) in their products. Thier are 19 mind altering chemicals in sucralose. I also tried the Arbonne route and after maxing out a credit card, I made it to district manager, however if you don't maintain high sales, they take your status away and you have to start all over. If you really want to make money from home, I suggest you check out something totally different, something that doesn't have compition. I am working with a company, that will pay you every week and they do! I have also tried Amway, with no success. Take it from me, I have tried a lot of these ML businesses so I could work from home. They are hard compensation plans and you put yourself in a bigger financial hole. If you really want to make money from home, I WILL HELP YOU. I am with a compound marketing company that has no compition. We work with olympic and pro athletes, people with sleeping problems, people who need to lose weight, autism, anti-aging, pain releif , detoxing and energy/stamina. If you seriously want to make money and help people naturally, please look at my website. Lifewave.com/kherihealth. Hi S.,
I have been a Melaleuca customer for about 3 1/2 years and I have to say that I love the products. I see a few people here say they are expensive but I really don't agree with that at all. They are more expensive than you may find at the dollar store but the quality is inline with what you will find in Whole Foods, department stores, etc and when cost compared to that, they are very inexpensive. We use things from just about every category and they have a very liberal no hassle return policy so it allows you to try everything and what you don't like, send back and try something else. Over the years we have been able to find the stuff we love and can't live without so the monthly order is no big deal as we run out and need to replace it anyway. If you find that you only like a few things then it would be diffcult to keep up with the monthly order as most items are concentrated so they last a long time and you don't reorder monthly but if you like a good handful of things then it's no problem. I would recommend a few things but this response would end up way too long :)
I don't "do the business" but I have referred a handful of friends and Melaleuca sends me a check every month that is more than the amount I spend with them so that's pretty cool too!
Good luck!

Hello S.,
I do know of Melaleuca and hear that it is the best, non-toxic, safest type of product to clean with, wash your hair with etc. Two of my friends are distributors and love it but what I've heard was because it's a stable brand name, everyone has heard of it and they say it's hard to get customers. So their monthly quota they must buy is usually for their own household...which can add up to a lot of stuff.
If you don't mind me sharing, I also am a SAHM of 4 children and have recently found an exciting company that supplements our income and it has to do with travel. Please accept this invitation to checkout my website for more information at

I had joined this company a while back and the products are good but, my little family could not go through all the stuff that you have to order every month. because you have to order a certain dollar amount. Of course they expect you to sell the stuff to friends and family members to make the quota, the only problem is not everyone what the products, and of course they might not need that much either. I do like the company just not the cost.

Hi S.,
I have just started using the Melaleuca products and started marketing for them. So far the items that I have tried are great. My mom has also started trying them and is amazed. She was cleaning her bathrooms the other day and wanted to use up her old products first. The first bathroom took her several hours to get clean. The other bathroom, using the tub and tile cleaner, only took her 45 minutes. She was completely amazed. Not only did they clean better but the smell of the product was great also. You did not have the harsh chemical smell. The two items I love is, I have much more to try, is the renew lotion and the antibaterial hand soap. I am constantly washing my hands and the hand soap feels great. The old soap I was using, dial, I could feel it drying out my hands while washing them but with their hand soap I feel mosture being put back into them. The renew lotion also stays with you throughout the day. I can put the lotion on my legs, which are really dry all the time, and I do not have to reapply before the end of the day like I did with other lotions that I have tried. I hope this helps you some. If you would like to ask more questions from a newbe you can email me and I can give you a call.

There are lots of things to buy and you have to remember you are trying to convert your home to these safer more greener products. So, if you check with them to see if they have certain items before going to buy them at other stores you should have no problem. I love their energy bars and cookies so I could spend enough for the month in just those items. If you have any more questions let me know and if you need any help enrolling. I hope this helps you.

I order from Melaleuca every month. I actually can turn this into a business however I really don't have that much time to put into it. So in order to maintain my status, I order soap and household cleaners. My husband who has really bad eczema swears by the laundry detergent. I like it because you can have a standing order be sent to you every month. If you want to change your standing order then all you need to do is call them before the last business day of the month to change your order and your new standing order will be shipped out in the first two weeks of the following month. If you're in it for the business, you will need to order 35 points every month. Normally it's not a problem since I get orders from other people which makes up my points if I'm not ordering a whole lot. Hoep that helps..

Our family has been using Melaleuca for years now, and it's a great product. Especially with two boys who can get really smelly and dirty, their laundry products are the best! And my dishes that go in the dishwasher come out much cleaner than with regular products. As far as the point commitment, that was one of my huge concerns as well, but it actually works out. I usually run out of things that end up adding up to the point commitment every month, so that's not a concern. Hope it works out for you.

I signed up 4 months ago. The first two months I paid over $100 for products. Reaching 35 pts, does add up to that. I found it difficult to go through the catalog the second month to shop for things. I don't particularly awant to order EVERYTHING from their catalog. The third month I forgot to place my order. They send me an order, but I declined delivery. This last month, I also procrastinated canceling and got their order.
I love the concept of buying non-toxic cleaning products, but I really don't go through products that fast to order so often. I'd rather spend my monthly $100+ dollars on other things. I've tried a few of their products and didn't care for it, so I have some returns to do.
The woman who was at our friend's house presentation had the same experience as me. Both of us are going to cancel. We just can't keep up with the demand for monthly orders. She is having her friends use her account and even with that, it's hard to keep up a monthly order. So for the both of us, not worth it.
I watched the business oppotunity presentation, on this company. It seemed like a good company and that they had some good products and good prices. I am just not that into selling to make $$$. Although I wanted to try their skin care product dor excema. In reality you are ordering what you would be buying from the store and the products may be better and last longer, not sure haven't tried. Ask about a money back guarantee on the products and the membership fee if you don't like it. I would love to hear what you think if you do try it. Plus if you love the products it will be easier to convince you friends and family to sign up and buy products.

i did it for a while, hoping to make money. I did like the products, though my daughter didn't like the childrens' vitamins. I signed up 3 ppl whom all cancelled, and was just not motivated enough to keep marketing to get the cost of my products covered. There was one item that was not allowed for sale in CA that I wanted, and that was the last straw, I decided to cancel after that. If a person is motivated enough to market the products I am sure they would be able to have their products paid for. I am just not that person.

My family and I have used Meleleuca products for years and we love it. It can be pricey (we average $50-$70/month), but we feel it's worth it. We originally got started with it because my husband wanted natural cleaners since I was gung-ho on my boys helping me clean the house. Over the years, we've branched into the health, beauty and medicine products as well.

Hi! You have probably gotten alot of responses from people about this, but here is mine. I investigated alot of different products for myself and family and found Juice Plus to be the easiest to figure out what to take and the only one with research that is gold standard. I am a Pediatric nurse and that was important to me. I didn't want to take or pay for something that was not proven to work in my body. The other thing I like about Juice Plus is that it's fruits, vegetables, and berries. That's it. It comes in 3 forms--capsules, chewables, and gummies. Easy, simple. I will be happy to send you info on the research to show you how powerful fruits and veggies can be for our bodies. Best of luck in your search!

I use it as a total store replacement, I don't buy any cleaning supplies, personal care supplies or over the counter medical supplies from anywhere else! I find it to be very economical, and LOVE that it is shipped directly to my home! (I hate shopping with kids in tow so this makes life so nice for me) Also, the compney recently reworked its monthly minimum so it is far easier to meet! Hi S.! Regarding your question about Melaleuca. I live in Nevada, and I started Melaleuca in 2002 before I moved to here. Its a good company with excellent products for houshehold and family stuff. However, to earn income with this online business, you need to use lots of marketing and ad campaign to get referrals to get into the moms team. About the monthly ordering, its a side that it may cost to your pocket (around $60 or more) a little annoyance. If you get some valuable points and money, maybe it may work around. Like I said, you have to go into lots of training and conferences, etc to get successful. It took me more 4 yrs and I havent earning any income while teaming up with my group. However, I had meet many good (mostly Moms)people and you keep up with them as long as you want to keep friendships or teammates. You could use lots of learning from them about marketing business also. Its your choice. Good luck!! Let me know how you doing, ok?
I'm spanish and 10 yrs married. Have 2 sons and 2 daughters and grandma to 10 kids.

There really is no financial risk because they guarantee all their products and will even refund the enrollment fee during the first few months, if you find that it is just not for you. Besides all that you get $100 in free products during the first five months so you get to try products out free. I would recommend giving it a try.

The baby line got rid of my daughter and father-in-law's eczema! $29 membership fee gives you a wholesale shopping acct to shop on-line directly with Arbonne...with no min purchases (gives you 35% off retail). To do the business it is the same $29 sign up fee and only requires $100 retail order per moth ($75 with discount) Share the shopping network concept with friends and teach them to shop with you each month and share with thier friends...and on and on and you have a business that leverages your time and provides residual income. If you are interetd you can email me...Id be happy to share more. no pressure what so ever. Best of luck to you!
(watch this quick video my friend posted that talks about shopping and sharing the shopping concept with others and how over time it creates a network of shoppers who get paid to do so! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9A3czzj3Dl0 )

I tried it & it didn't do well for me. I tried another though, Arbonne. It is a bit expensive but they have AWESOME baby lotion, rash cream etc,, & it lasts pretty nicely. My husband uses it too for his excema (feet & hands) & it works! I am still impressed. I don't sell it but could lead you to someone who does. They also have a return policy that just cannot be beat - if you don't like it for whatever reason, refund! That easy. They really back their stuff. Good luck & God Bless!

S. ... I LOVE Melaleuca Products, they are absolutely the BEST. And the cleaning products are inexpensive and concentrated so you use less of them. The monthly orders can get to be a bit much. See if you can find someone who wants to do it with you, and have them order one month and you the next or three people and rotate. At the very least, do it for a few months and stock up on some great products. I just order them through my friend now and it works out great! Once you get people on the products they will love it and keep ordering. I am just not the MLM type, i have tried every singel business there is out there and met a lot of wonderful people, however it's just not my thing. If you want to do it, then do it. At the very least, get on the products, especially the cleaning stuff, it's amazing. My favorite is the Laundry stuff and also the Face Cleansing proudcts.

I've belonged for a couple of years. I've never made any effort to use it like a business so I really can't say if it has any income potential - but in general, I think most people are pretty skeptical of multilevel marketing (as they should be!). As far as the products, I think they are very expensive especially once you add shipping. Every month I order my "35 points" it costs me around $75. And there are very few of the products I really like. Their laundry detergent, dish soap and the Tough and Tender (I like the spray and the wipes) are all good but I'm not too wild about the rest of their stuff I've tried. Any month you don't order, you get a "convenience certificate" that costs you $50 and it is like a gift certificate you can use later. I've got a bunch of them that I need to use and then I'll probably cancel my membership. I just don't think it is cost effective at all. It is handy to have everything shipped to your doorstep but that's really the primary benefit. They do have "product packs" that contain a wide variety of their products. If you are seriously thinking about joining, I'd ask the person asking you to join to order a product pack for you and try the products before you commit. If they won't do it and you are in the Las Vegas area, I'll do it.

My mother in law sold their products for a while (not sure if she still does) She swore by them. She sent stuff to us from time to time, but we weren't overly impressed. We didn't find it to be worth the extra money and could find most of the natural items in store now that everything going green.

I also found this company on line in response to a work from home thing. You have to spend alot of time on the telephone talking to people about this business in order to get people to sign up. This is really the only way you will make money is to create a network. The you spend alot of time on the computer and on the phone training other people how to do the business. The products are nice- very high quality - especially the laundry products. I did not use enough of everything to substantiate a full order every month so it was hard for me- especially if you have a smaller family. Look at this carefully before comitting.

Melaleuca is an MLM: Multi-Level Marketing business. You make money by sharing the product with others and helping them to share the product. Of course you have to order products yourself to make money. So what you have is a lot of people ordering products and getting other people to order products with the person at the top making the most money.
The MLM business model is not a terrible one. Warren Buffet recently bought Herbalife which is a MLM. What I don't like is that I have to spend money to make money. It seems silly to me. A bunch of people like me spending money so that the people above them (and the people above them and the people above them) can make more money than me? Seems like it will be the company getting rich by getting so many people to buy their product. Not me!
Amway and MonaVie are two other MLM's. Also all the businesses that people below are telling you about.

Hey S.,
I can tell you from experience that the products are great. BUT, I do find them to be pretty expensive. The cleaners are concentrated so they last a while but other products are just too expensive. I'm sure if you try it you'll find many products that you love. However, if you're wanting to try it as a business, it's not as easy as it sounds. It's kinda tough trying to convince people to commit to purchasing 35pts worth of products every month. Especially if, like me, you're not pushy. And what's worse is that when you do get enough people to sign up for you to move up, you have to commit to like 75pts a month!! I think that's asking way too much. And also, you really don't make much money at it from what I have experienced personally & from what I've heard from others who have done it. Anyhow, I'm still buying the Melaleuca but am no longer trying to "recruit" people. I think I'm going to do like someone suggested here & just cancel my subscription & order with someone else.
Now, for my shameless plug....If you are looking for something to help make an income for you, I think I have found a wonderful business finally!! I sell lia sophia jewelry. I do parties & usually make $50 or more an hour. It's a blast. If you'd like some more info, hit me up!!

I used Melaleuca for about 4 years before deciding that it just wasn't worth it. The only thing of theirs that I absolutely love is the Renu Lotion. Everything else just didn't seem to work that well or be any better than a store brand and it was SO expensive!! I believe in using natural product, especially because my son has sensitive skin but I don't know that Melaleuca is the way to go.

I've used Melaleuca for a year now & love it! I don't think it's expensive at all. The products last for such a long time. If you're worried about the 35 points yes it can be difficult if you don't completely switch to Melaleuca. My mother in law buys with me. I started taking the vitamins so now I make the points no problem. I spend around $70 a month with tax & shipping. I usually order twice though so it's not so much at one time. My favorite is the tub & tile cleaner. I use the the kids stuff, toothpaste, face wash, vitamins, lotion, deodorant, and all the cleaning stuff, oh and laundry. Like I said I've been doing it for a year but I'm just now trying to make $ at it. I'm with the Four Point Group. Email me if you want & I'll get you my number & you can ask away & I'll tell you honestly. I can tell you about other at home businesses that I've tried too over the years. Let me just say that I'm still looking too.

My mother and a friend of mine both sell this product. For a while I joined and ordered through my mom. But it did get to be kind of a pain because I didn't use the product fast enough and ended up with a lot of it. Here is a little known fact, you can suspend your orders for three months then start up again. You will lose no status unless you do not start before your three months are up. The product is wonderful. I love the cleaning products and the candle club is also fun. I still order the product from my mom and will for a long time. Good luck!

I love the products but found the minimum amount that I had to order was way to much. I was over stocked for almost two years after I quit. Maybe there is a way to reduce the amount or that min. may have changed. The stuff goes along way and unless you can sell to your friends, I could not keep up.
