Good Morning Ladies,

I have heard a lot lately about medical billing. It seems too good to be true that you can work from home and make a decent income. Therefore I wanted to know if anyone has sucessfully done this type of work. And whether or not they would recommend it.

Thanks for any input!
T.

I don't have experience in the medical billing field but I do work from home in the medical benefits business. I am an independent broker with AmeriPlan, a 15-year-old health benefits company based out of Dallas, TX. It is possible to make money from home without being pushy (believe me, I am NOT a salesperson of ANY sort!). We market our health benefit plans and we get paid a commission when we enroll someone into one of our four plans. You work when you want, for as long as you want. I personally don't put more than 15 hours a week MAX and I work it around my boys.

If you would like more information, I would be glad to speak with you. You can also check out my website at: www.freedomathometeam.com/40550162 for more testimonials.

Good luck in your search!

I went to Georgia Medical Institute thinking that I was going to do just that, work from home. First red flag that I witnessed was that the school rushes you through the 6 months course learning process. Then I found out that you have to do internship on a volunteer basis (which I couldn't afford quitting my job to do that) The kicker is you have to actually work in an office setting to get experience before you can branch out and work from home.

I always say that if it sounds too good to be true it prb is.Ive never known any income to come easy or without hard work. From my experience most home businesses are only success ful if u push ur item like its a drug,or to get it through signing other people up.I'm waiting on getting my second car, then i plan on doing it the old fashioned way.

According to my neice that is in HR she said there are companies that contract with doctors and or hospitals and they do billing, they have some folks that work from there homes and some that go into the office (company that contract with them). I haven't ever been in that work but I'm just going by what she's learned about the HR business she contracts architects for companies.
