Sorry but the info about peanut/egg exposure before 12 mo is not correct. The new information is that early exposure may actually help PREVENT allergies:
"The researchers suggest that recommendations to avoid peanut in early infancy could be behind the increase in peanut allergy in the UK, Australia and the US."

Our doc told us to expose our son to small amts of these foods to avoid allergies. Of course watch for any reactions and all. :) Watch out that you don't give too much, it could be kind of thick an sticky for them at such a young age. But it's safe.
I used to make meals for my son and grind them with an immersion blender. His fav was:
White/wheat pasta or a wild rice blend mixed with protein (chicken or tofu) and tons of veggies. I'd add milk to get it to puree well and season it to about half our level. My son really hated bland food so with our doc's ok I added seasonings and I personally believe that this helped to broaden his palette and at 27 mo he'll eat all kinds of diff ethnic foods. :)
