Ok, so all my life Ive been a "what ingredients are in the fridge that I can throw together and make something out of" kind of girl. But as my family is growing, and my kids are more scheduled, I am finding that I need to get more organized in the kitchen for meals. I have one extremely picky eater, (my first born) that I have a plan for hopefully changing his eating habits for the better before kindergarten next year, and have decided that the only way its going to work is if I get organized. For some reason, I cant seem to just make a list with a meal plan for the week on my own, soooo Im just wondering if any of you have used a meal planning website? Which ones do you like and why? Which ones dont you like and why? When I googled meal planning, a lot of sites popped up! Any advice??

Thanks!!

I LOVE plan to eat: http://www.plantoeat.com/ref/ge7o8gh6tw

I've been using them for over a year now and it's saved us a ton of money on our food bill, because we now rarely eat out or waste money on items that go bad in the back of the fridge.

You can go to a site like allrecipes or martha stewart or whatever and import those recipes, without typing, into the site. If you have ones in cookbooks you love, you can add those in the "bulk" setting, and it's really fast. I've added almost 700 recipes (most by hand) in the past year, and that's just taking a minute here and there to add them.

It's free for 30 days (I don't even think they ask for cc # until your trial is up) and run by a husband/wife team. They have a FB page too and answer any questions and address glitches you find really quickly, which I love.

I've used e-mealz and was happy with it.

There was just a mamasource deal for 6 months of meal planning through Six O'Clock Scramble, and I signed up for that. It was $18 for the 6 months. I started looking through the recipes last night, and I think there will be a lot that we will use. I like that you have access to all the past meal plans, unlike e-mealz, where you only have access to the weeks you subscribe.

We use E-Mealz.com and like it. It's cheap and my husband doesn't have to spend Sunday doing meal planning.

Come check out a new website called www.chopchopgo.com. We are currently accepting private beta users. The site combines and streamlines finding recipes, meal planning, and even online grocery shopping. It is free to use and current beta testers will get $5.00 off their grocery order.

there is a new group on facebook called "crock pot moms" or "crock pot mommas" they post a new meal/menu idea on Monday and the gals all try it out and review it throughout the week.
Looks like a fun, interactive way to get real feedback on meal ideas:)

I like to use saymmm.com I don't use the meal planning part but I like that it lets me save recipes that I find online.

I just checked out Emealz and it looks pretty good. I signed up and used coupon code DAVE and got $2.50 off my first 3 months. The meals are pretty simple (nothing fancy) but I think it will get us eating at home more!
