The McDonald's on Lovers near the Tollway has a fantastic play structure and really great employees. They have been seen refilling coffee during the breakfast break and being sweet to my one year old monster.
My son has decided that his 5th birthday party should be at a McDonalds. I'm all for it since the cost is low compared to what we've done in the past, but I want to know from those that have had a McD party or attended one, what did you think about it? Would you do it again? Which location did you use?
I want to hear it all . . . the good, the bad, all of it.
Thanks so much!

Attended my nephews and it was fun BUT try to schedule it on an "off" time otherwise you get stuck with the lunch crowd and you get a bunch of angry children stalking/invading your party.
One drawback was that there are no adult meals included which left an awkward situation... My brother in law felt like he should pay for any adults in attendance since he invited them. But since your child is older I doubt many parents will be there.
Overall it was fun, not a lot of hubub. It was probably the fastest party I have ever been to. You eat, you play, you go.
If it's the play structure at McDonalds that he's particularly interested in you could try Going Bonkers in Lewisville as an alternative party site. Their parties are insanely reasonable and you get a private room.

Have fun!

I am sure they have changed since then, but I had about 5 McDonald's parties as a child (so about 20 some-odd years ago), but I remember them being very fun and I have fond memories of them. I don't think they had a whole lot to them -I remember Happy Meals and a really good chocolate cake, and that's about it. Again, I am sure they have made some changed over the decades, but I say, if that's what he wants, then give it a shot. If you don't like how it goes, then just have it somewhere else next year.
