Maybe TMI but I Just Can't Be the Only One

I swear pregnancy brings out the most interesting things in a woman. So I'm 3 days pat my due date and I'm starting in with some interesting new symptoms. Just today my "lady junk" has seemed swollen and irritated. The only thing I can equate it to is blue balls. I'm also noticing some dryness. I had my husband take a look and the only answer I got is that it looked puffy and saggy. Please tell me that I'm not alone on this one.

What can I do next?

I have experienced that from time to time. It usually occurred after having a longer than usual love making session either with a partner or with a vibrator. I found a cool cloth soothed the area.

When my grandmother was in her 80's and confined to bed she soaked cloths in witch hazel and applied them to her vulva. She said they felt better when she did. I don't remember what caused her to do this but it just felt like a part of life for her. Because I was in my 20s and very inexperienced it didn't seem odd to me.

lol my and my grandmother's experiences had nothing to do with pregnancy.

It is possible that you are starting to developing varicose veins in your vulva area. I had a friend who described something similar when she started to develop them. She got them much earlier than that but you never know..

I am 28 weeks pregnant and I already have that pain. I have had it with all 3 of my pregnancies. It is just the pressure of baby on the pelvis region. My Dr. has always just suggest using one of those maternity belts to help "lift" baby up. But, being so close to the end I think just some rest and relaxation should help.

If it makes you feel better everday when I get out of bed that first standing up is just so unbearable and it feels like it is just so "heavy" down in the "lady junk" area . After a few minutes of walking around it seems to relieve a little bit but usually just have this heavy swollen feeling down there.

Good luck on Baby and Congratulations!!

Oh honey you arent the only one!
I am 37 weeks and have been experiencing this for the last THREE WEEKS!! It feels like someone kneed me multiple times down there! I can barely put my pants on, I have to sit down then slide them on. Sometimes just getting out of bed makes me wince in pain. I was close to sticking an ice pack in my pants the other day! My Dr. attributed it to the baby's head being in position and the ligaments and pelvic bone being stretched. It SUCKS lol. Hopefully you will have this baby any second now and it will be over. I feel like there's no end in sight for me :( Right now 3 weeks feel like a year. Good luck, hope you get relief soon!
