Maui Trip

Absolutely my most favorite place to stay is Napili, just north of Lahaina. We have stayed in condos at Napili Point or Napili Shores, I can't quite remember the name. They are right on a small cove that is perfect for snorkeling, There is a family of sea turtles that live in the cove. There is also a great beach just around the corner, a five minute walk from the condos. At the beach there are a couple of great outdoor restaurants (one of which makes great Mai Tais that we would bring down to the beach! Yum!) They also have a couple of very small pools at the condo.

Napili is a small town, with NO big tacky resorts (Yuck!) There are a few small resorts, but nothing too big and outlandish. There is a grocery store nearby, and a few restaurants. Lahaina is 20 minutes away and is THE coolest town in Maui, with fun shops, restaurants, etc. You have to go to the Lahaina Luau which is considered the best on Maui.

We stayed at Napili twice and have loved it. It's been about 10 years, but I don't think you can go wrong. Jealous of your trip! :) Have fun!

I absolutely love Maui! I am so jealous. My family has stayed at the Outrigger Palms in Maui (Wailea) several times and never had a bad experience. http://www.outriggerpalmsatwaileacondo.com/
They have several condos for rent and you would be amazed at the incredible prices. We cooked some lovely meals at the condo, were able to wash our clothing and walked to the surrounding beaches. They have units upstairs and downstairs. We chose a lovely unit downstairs and the kids played on the lawn area and walked back and forth to the beautiful pool. We walked down to the beach every morning and in the afternoon we drove to Makena Beach. It looks like Napili is closer to the beach than Wailea so that may be a better choice for you. Yes I agree with Christine, Napili Point! So cute and kid friendly, very small town feeling. My kids LOVED the fact that there was a little grocery just behind our condo that they could go to on their own (it made them feel so grown up!) Have a wonderful time :)
