Has anyone tried or used www.IXL.com for their child that is homeschooled? From what I can see so far it looks like it would be good. There is a monthly fee but it tracks your childs performance, how much time they spend, how many questions answered and it looks like it teaches what your states standards are.
Thank you

I don't homeschool but I am a teacher and I think it's a great site. It's very comprehensive in the skills that it covers. Also, the child can work on skills from any grade level, so if they need extra review, you can have them do lessons from and grade below, or if they need enrichment, they can do the grade level above. I think it is worth the fee.

We use IXL @ the kids school. And while it is mostly a great site, it becomes frustrating for the kids because of the scoring system. They need to reach for 100% in each area to achieve rewards. If they reach 99% & then get one wrong the score can drop significantly to say 70% & then they earn only 1 to 2 pts per question to work their way back up to 100%. That being said it is a great way to monitor progress & areas of weakness or strengths. Not sure that helps:)

IXL is really good. Our kids use it at school.

A couple other good ones are www.sheppardsoftware.com and
www.coolmath4kids.com. I don't think they track their progress but the kids really like them.
