Does anyone know of a place that buys maternity clothes? I have a lot of summer maternity clothes, mostly size medium and only warn through one pregnancy - I delivered early so they are in great condition. I have thought about donating to goodwill (as I usually do with old clothes) but I was wondering if there was any way to get a little money out of them because I spent a lot thinking I would be able to have more than one child... and I am not. I have tried Craig's list, and I sold more than half of my clothes last summer, but there are too many flakes on there and I don't have the time for that. Are there any other websites out there that you mama's know of?
Thank you all for your suggestions! I will try to get to one or more of those stores this weekend, hopefully I'll find something I need to exchange the maternity clothes for!!!

Hi T.,
I see a lot of Maternity clothes "lots" for sale on Ebay - this is a good place esp if you have some good brand name stuff. With ebay, if someone doesn't pay, etc you have recourses to take. Also, the Once Upon a Child store at Alma School/Warner used to take maternity clothes for trade - not cash, but then you could get your little one some new stuff! And it's only that location in the east valley - the Val Vista store doesn't take maternity clothes.
Good luck!!

I just googled "arizona consignment maternity" and got this store, It's my turn Children and Maternity. It is in Cave Creek and it got some really nice reviews.
I have never done consignment but depending on where you live, this could be worth it. It sounds nice. ;) It sounds like you can get a lot of wonderful things for your little boy there in exchange for your clothes.
Good luck,

Hi T.! What about Small Change? They are affiliated with My Sisters Closet and My Sisters Attic. They will buy your clothes but it might not be as much as you are hoping for. You can also exchange your clothes for credit to be used at Small Change or the other stores. If I remember correctly, you actually get a better price for your stuff if its for credit. Small Change prefers high end maternity clothes. I was hesitant at first but was converted after my first trip.
Congrats on the Masters Degree!!
Hi T.,
You could try listing them on e-bay or if you don't want the hassle you could try taking them to an e-bay store. I have seen several in town.

ebay is a great placed to sell your clothes. bulk them together ask for a set amount and let the bidding begin. Good luck.
I have a hard time selling clothes on Craigslist too . . . try local consignment shops like Turn Style and Kid to Kid. You won't get as much as if you sold them on your own, but something is better than nothing. Also, Kid to Kid will offer more if you take store credit instead of cash--which is great to use for everything from kids clothes to toys and gear. Good luck!
once upon a child & you can get cash or credit, but w/ all the kid stuff I just turn it around into something my child needs..they are all over the valley..yahoo-local for the one nearest you
I would go to second hand stores like my sistes closet and any other ones that buy your clothing or give you credit towards their store. Look for thrift/second time around/childrne resale.
Ther is a place called Once Upon A Child on Alma School & Warner - they are awsome there & give you either cash or credit to use in the store. Out of alot of the kids resale stores that I have been to they seem to give you more in return

Have you heard of Once Upon A Child stores? They buy, sell and trade maternity, kids clothing, children's furniture, toys, books, baby accessories and so on. There are two locations in the East Valley as well as a couple other stores in the West Valley. You can google the name and find the exact addresses. I just took some of my daughter's clothes and got store credit because we are having a boy shortly. Great place.
Take to Baby Bloomers or Urban Baby--they are my favorite consignment/second hand baby stores. I get almost everything for my baby there, and I see lots of maternity clothes there, plus you can make cash or store credit.
have you already given them away? i'm a size 12 and 13 1/2 weeks pregnant. i'm looking for affordable materinity clothes. let me know. ____@____.com
thanks!
Why not try selling your maternity clothes to a resale shop such as Once Upon A Child, in Chandler. I'm sure there are other places around the East Valley. You can either get cash, or you can get a voucher worth more than the cash they would pay, and you can use it to be kids' clothes or toys. Many of the items in there are practically new, having been used very little. I've bought outfits for my grandkids that still had the tags on them. Probably items that were received as gifts, but the child was already too big for them. It's also a good place to pick up toys of all kinds that are in really good shape. Why pay full price when there are resale shops with gently used items at a fraction of the cost.
I don't know of an on-line place, but Once Upon A Child, a baby second hand store in Chandler, pays cash for gently used clothes, especially name brand. It's on the SW corner of Alma School and Warner.
