OK. I had a QVC swimsuit that I returned. Now I want to order something from Land's End. BUT I'm looking for a very specific type of Land's End suit: underwire bra in a DD or DDD cup. They are sold out of all of those types in my size. BUT they have lots of mastectomy suits in those styles in my size. I know the arms are cut higher (I'm thinking less armpit flab spillover) and the necklines are a bit higher (not a problem). I know they have a pocket for a prosthesis but otherwise, are there any differences?
SO--do you think I could order one in my size? Has anyone ever done this? TIA!
you would be able to wear it. the mastectomy suits have pockets in both sides for prosthesis. I have found the bras are exactly the same as other bras with the exception of the pockets. having said that I myself go with the tanktop w/built in bra option. I hate my prosthesis. so unless the bra has O. of those "molded bra" type tops you will be fine.
I'm not sure the mastectomy suit has underwire. My mom buys those suits and my recollection of them is more like a shelf bra, so double check.
I might have to try that myself!! Sounds Ideal, spent all day swimsuit shopping an d would have loved to have something higher in the arms and chest. I wish they would make suits with more support for bigger chested ladies, I could use a lift. I've been drooling over a lands end suit myself. but don't have time to mess with ordering on line. good Luck and please let us know how this turns out.

I have 2 LE suits that I got a couple summers back, and I LOVE them, but can't find anything like them anymore... let me know what you think if you try the mastectomy suits...
