I am looking for a massage therapist who enjoys her work and will give me a 1/2 hr massage that won't cost me almost the same as an hour. Prefer someone in Bolingbrook or Woodridge Illinois. Anyone have any recommendations?
I would like to thank everyone for their assistance. I have been going to Everett College for their massages when possible. I am so thankful for them as money is tight right now & I prefer a massage to medicine for my shoulder pain. Some of the therapist have even helped me learn some things to help me help myself. I have kept all the information on local massage therapist so that when I can afford a therapist I will stop going to Everett so as to leave the spot open for someone else in need. Try Rehab Experts in Darien (Just East of Lemont Rd on Plainfield RD/83rd). I was there for physical therapy over the summer and the owner/therapist was talking about bringing in a massage person.

There are several different places where she is working to provide her clients with massage.
I also suggest that you consider taking yoga to open both your hips and shoulders (along with taking massage therapy). Yoga is available at www.universalspirityoga.com
There are four different massage therapists who independently work out of this location and allow for either one hour or shorter massages to be arranged. I believe two of the massage therapists live in Bolingbrook and will also provide massages at other locations.

I can highly recommend Andrea Hendron She is on the south side of Naperville just south of 95th, off of Book Road. Even her full hour massage doesn't cost 2 arms & 2 legs ( no pun intended) She has a wonderful, separate office with an outside entrance on the back of her home. She has been a massage therapist for well over 15 years.

My niece goes to Everest College, she is in their massage therapy program. The students do massages for the public at some point in their training in order to get their required hours and experience in. My friend goes there once a week for a massage and loves it. The students are supervised and are good as this is a part of their training. It is all handled very professionally, you have privacy and only one student works on you. I have been going to my massage therapist weekly for 1 1/2 yrs. She is well versed in many different techniques and takes the time to explain what she is doing and why.
