Mary Kay Question

I entered a drawing at my gym for some Mary Kay products. I got a message today saying I'd won a "facial pampering package" for me and a few friends. Is this any different than your typical Mary Kay party? I haven't returned the call from the lady who held the drawing since I'm not interested if it's a sales party. Thanks for any insight you can give!

What can I do next?

K.--We all love to get new customers. For me personally I love selling Mary Kay because I know that my customers love the products and it makes them happy to get a good quality product with special treatment from their consultant. Please call her back. Ask her specifically what she means by "package". I really don't believe that you need to include friends and I'm sure she would be glad to give you a one-on-one facial. It never hurts to ask and it never hurts to say no.

Of course it's a fun, educational girl time party, but it will be with the hope that you love the product and want to buy your favorites.

Regards,

It is a pampering session where you will receive a lot of great make-up tips and be reminded how to care for your skin. It is a fun girl-friend time!

For the consultant, it will also be an opportunity to meet potential customers: you and your friends.

It is no different than getting a sample in the dept. store. They are hoping you will like the product and want to purchase it, but there is no obligation to purchase.

As consultants, we are always looking for women who will give their honest opinion about our product.

Any drawing you enter is for the purpose of seeking out potential customers.

Of course, you can simply enjoy the pampering and walk away without a purchase.

Hi. Yes, I'm sure it is the same thing. I also sell Mary Kay, but am not as aggressive as other consultants. I like to sell to my friends and for myself...and anyone else...without pressure. If you don't want this, just tell her you are not interested but you would like a catalog. Then you can order what you like. Hope this helps.
