It isn't supposed to do that, but sometimes it does. It's a glitch, not user error. If I notice it on something I edit, I go in and delete the
"UPDATE" notice and the duplicate part of the response.
If I edit one of my responses because I discovered a typo is the whole response written twice? Sometimes I notice responses posted twice with the word edited above the second one.

Sometimes it does that. Just go back and delete the copy.
I know the posts you're talking about. There's a response, then the word UPDATED, then the response again. It's a computer glitch (or should I say a Mamapedia glitch). It's happened to me a couple of times. If I notice that it's happened to me, I just edit my response and delete the extras.
I've gone back and fixed typos if I notice them. I really like it when my responses are grammatically correct, but I'm usually on my IPad, so it's really easy to have mistakes. Also I'm a terrible speller. Thank goodness for spell check and red squigglies!
It's a slow server thing.
When ever the site is lagging it's possible to get what ever you type appearing twice when you posted it once.
I always update my typos and I have never noticed it written twice.
I assumed it is a glitch that does that to some edited posts.
MP is glitchy sometimes.

That happens when someone clicks post twice when it's taking it's time loading. It actually treats it like 2 different posts. All you have to do is edit your answer and it's fine.
Just remember to delete the part you don't want.
IF IF IF you mess up then just click cancel.
It's not you - it's the program/platform on which it was written.
You'll notice "updated" and it's there twice or even more? It means the person hit the "ENTER" button more than once when posting.
Once you notice the revision/change? Open it back up again and revise again. It should remove it.
Editing shouldn't make two posts. It's a really unusual circumstance for it to happen...
