I just moved to Colorado and was wondering if there are any mama groups that I can join. Any suggestions?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I just want to thank everyone for your suggestions. I have found 2 or 3 groups that I'm interested in, but unfortunately I missed this months meeting. I will be attending the meetings next month to see what the organizations are all about. Thank you all again!

cafemom has some awesome groups and very specific groups. They have a Colorado mom's group that has get-togethers and things. I've found some really cool groups through there because they have so many choices. Good luck!

go to www.meetup.com there are many mom's groups out there. you just put in your zip code and whether or not you're looking for a working mom's group or a stay at home mom's group, whatever. they have lots of groups to choose from, and you may find that you want to join more than one. there are a LOT around the littleton/highlands ranch areas.

i have had good luck with these groups and have made some good friends from them.

it's always kind of strange at first to put yourself out there and go to a play date or event where you don't know anyone, but you get over it pretty fast. mom's love to talk about their kids, being a mom, etc. so you should fit right in!

good luck and welcome to colorado!

Hi J., I have moved around quite a bit and I have always found a Moms group at a church. You can always check the web site for MOPS,www.mops.com. I attend Grace Community Church in Denver on S. Clinton and we have a group that meets every other tuesday at 9:15. Our next meeting is on April 22, you are more than welcome to come anytime.

I know of Moxie Moms (I think www.moxiemoms.com)....multiple events to chose from in different part of town and some vendors give discounts if you have a card.
Also, stroller strides (Kathy owns the south one)...exercising with your little one with you in a stroller.....inside in winter/outside starting soon. (google stroller strides...kathy's email is ____@____.com)
the company is called Mom's r fit.
I have also heard of Co. Mountain Momma's but, don't know a lot about that.

Good luck and welcome to CO. I love it here.

I just moved here as well. A friend of mine and I are planning on getting together. She has a 4 year old and one on the way and I have a 6 month old. We are planning on meeting sometime at the end of this month or so. Not really sure where at yet, but if you're interested or know anyone else who might be, let me know.

Welcome to Colorado! We moved here from Florida 2 years ago
and love it!
If you live in or around the Highlands Ranch Area (Littleton
or Centennial) there is a great group in the area called
Mothers and More. They have group meetings with great topics,
playgroups, Mom Nights Out, Book Clubs, and more. Here is the
website- http://www.mothersandmore.org/chapters/highlandsranchlitt...
If you don't live in that area just search Mothers and More
and I am sure there will be a group in your area.
Good Luck and Enjoy Colorado!
