hey moms! I'm looking into having my son make something for his grandma for Christmas instead of buying her something but am coming up blank with ideas. If any of you have any cute ideas for him to make I'd appreciate any input =] he's 2 so nothing too complicated. Thanks! God Bless!

Photo calendars, mugs, etc.. are always nice! Last year I took my kids to Painted Earth (pottery painting place) - my daughter painted a dog treat jar for my Mom and I had my son do a coffee mug. They also made plates and mugs for everyone else in the family - (yea, we had them working pretty hard that day! LOL) but all the family LOVED what they got.

Photo stamps are great! Same idea as the mugs and so forth. You use your own photo and make regular postage stamps. Your mom can use them on her mail or frame them. These are not really made by your son, but they are a wonderful keepsake photo.stamps.com

My son is going to make a stepping stone for his grandma's yard. They sell the kits at Micheal's from 10-20 dollars depending on how fancy you get. Also last year I did orniments with his hand print which I bought at Micheal. May not work depending on how big your sons hand is.

Just remember that anything will be great because is is coming from their grandson!

Good Luck
Tina

Have you seen piggies and paws? They are so cute! I usually pay for them due to time and energy constraints. They use my children's hand and foot prints and turn them into art. If you don't want to spend the money, you could just create your own! Just use craft paint from Michael's (be sure it's non-toxic). They are around .50 - $1.00. Then get paper, one sheet plain for the art and then another with a pattern to mount behind it. You can create anything you want.

Go to a pottery painting place and make a mug or platter with his handprints on it. My mom did this for me and it is one of my fave all time gifts.

www.kodakgallery.com has great ideas of all kinds, for photo gifts. I use this site a lot, for my Christmas gifts, and it's always a hit.

Another site is: www.etsy.com for handmade items from artisans or crafters. They have photo items too... REAL cute and unique. ie: like the "photo pendants" for example.
I've ordered these too, and its real special.

Good luck,
Susan
