Bar Harbor! Do a whale watching trip. And see Acadia National Park.
My husband and I are trying to plan a family vacation to Maine this spring and since I am on bed rest I have plenty of time to do some on-line research. What are some cool places in Maine? We are looking for little fishing towns and really want to stay away from City life since we live that every day. Any place that you would recommend? We will have 4 kids and one infant traveling with us. We will be driving as we will have 2 1/2 weeks to get there and back. (I am secretly hoping to go through Hershey, PA on our way up there! Mommy loves her choc.).

We went a few years ago for a long weekend and stayed in/near Wells. The beaches are beautiful.
Hershey Park is a great park for the kids. However, check their schedule I don't think they open to the general public until late April or early May.
Bar Harbor and Acadia Nat'l forest. My sister's husband is from that area and they got married there 2 years ago. Very beautiful!
Definately Bar Harbor. But only if you're going later in the spring. I went in the beginning of May and most things were just opening up for the summer season. I actually prefer it that way...quieter. But, it was beautiful and I loved Acadia National Park. Portland is a city. It's a GREAT city...but it is a city.
Ogunquit (spelling), York, Portland, Kennebunkport! Love Maine - the air is so fresh there!!!!
