When I was trying to get pregnant the first time (almost 9 yrs ago) we tried for almost 2 yrs and was sent to a fertility specialist, he did all the test to be sure my tubes were not blocked, my uterus was in good condition, etc. After all that he told me to do a few months of temperature charts (take oral temp the moment you get up and mark it on the chart). I did this for 3 months and brought it to him. The moment he saw it he knew what was wrong, to put it in layman's terms my egg moved too fast for fertilization. He put me on Clomid and I still did the temp chart. I saw a difference immediately that month in my temps and I got pregnant. I don't remember if he actually called it anything (I did look up Luteal Phase Defect and Clomid was one of the meds listed to help). I did get pregnant once since then (without any help and we never used any type of protection after our son) and I miscarried in the 10 week. I have not gotten pregnant since then and with issues at home I am very happy with the blessing I did get (my son is now a very healthy and intelligent 7 yr old). The dr will be able to help and if you want more info on temp charts or what it should look like there are a few websites to help (or the dr could let you know). Good luck!!
