As a preschool teacher for many years....here are some ideas of yummy foods that I've seen in lunches my class brings. Most schools now are "peanut-free" so substitute soy butter, sunflower butter, etc for peanut butter in sandwiches. The kids love wraps with cream cheese, lettuce, etc, cheese sticks, tuna salad, dinner left-overs from the night before, grilled cheese sandwiches, mac and cheese, any and all fruit....and that doesn't mean those sticky, sugary fruit snacks that kids convince their moms to buy(!) Vegetables.........again, any and all! I've had children bring the usual carrots, cherry tomatoes, green beans, lima beans, broccoli, caultiflower, even asparagus. NO.....potato chips aren't connsidered to be a vegetable in preschool!! Also, yogurt, cottage cheese, etc.
