Thankyou all for the advice. The cramps are anytime day or middle of the night. The back pain comes with some of these cramps and I feel like I need to squat down to stretch my back. Thank you for the stretches advice too, I use that when workingout.

Since you're still so early on in your pregnancy, you might still be able to do this. I have frequent pain as you describe, and I found a stretch that really works to relieve it. I hope I can describe it well, but if you google search stretch for sciatic pain relief you may be able to find a picture of it. Anyhow, you lie on your back with knees bent. On the side of your pain, cross that leg over the other so your ankle is at the knee of the other leg. Then, reach through and clasp your hands around the thigh of the bent leg and pull it towards your chest. You should feel the stretch in your butt, upper thigh, and lower back on the side of the crossed leg.
As your belly grows you will obviously not be able to do this stretch. But I found that bending over trying to touch my toes and reaching alternately with either hand toward my toes stretched my back in just the right spots. You should talk to your OB, they might have some suggestions for you as well. You can also visit a chiropractor, or a massage therapist, just make double sure they have experience in treating pregnant women.
Be careful with a heating pad or hot bath this early in pregnancy, they are generally not recommended. Ask your OB first for guidelines.
I am a HUGE believer in chiropractics and massage. Get a good adjustment and get yourself a massage with someone that specializes in pregnant women. It is AMAZING! I hope you feel better and wish you much luck in a comfortable, healthy pregnancy.
I would try a chiropractor. We see this often in our office. Because your pelvis is shifting and your bodys changing you can tend to have lots of discomfort. Our patience always see a difference after being adjusted.
I've had 2 kidney stones, both during pregnancy, and that is the location of my symptoms. If pain continues or worsens, don't rule out stones (which by the way, if they are stones, is much worse then labor itself, so if you survive that labor will be a breeze!)
I agree with Sarah B. When I was pregnanat with my 8 yr old, I had excruciating back pain from beginning to end. My Dr. suggested chiropractic and tissue work from a therapist on the back. All I can say is it was amazing! They actually have stuff just for pregnant women.
Lower back right side is colon - so prolly constipation.
Try a heating pad or warm bath.
is it all the time or just when you lay down? if its at night - try sleeping with a pillow between your legs. i had that all through my preg and i slept with a pillow between mine up till the end. get off your feet when you can if its during the day
