Loss of Appetite - Occoquan,VA

I've heard that during the summer people usually have less of an appetite and during the winter usually one's appetite grows.

I've noticed especially in the last two weeks I just don't really get hungry, so I've been eating less. Because of that, when I DO eat I get uncomfortably full pretty easily (I'm assuming my stomach has shrunk a bit).

I never noticed such a drastic change in appetite for me during other summers... does anyone else have an appetite loss in the summer like this?

What can I do next?

I definitely feel that way. In the summer I almost have to force myself to eat b/c it's hot and humid and it just doesn't sound like any fun. Unless I've gone for a run. After I run I'm starving for some fruit!! In the winter I feel like I need to practically put an alarm on the fridge. I think that could also correlate with being busy. Winter we hole up at home more and in the summer it's go go go. Unfortunately winter has more fattening foods for me and in the summer all I want is fruits and veggies. Ahh the price we pay for ever changing weather. :-)

i eat a ton of fruit in the summer. it isn't as filing, doesn't make me bloated and it quenches my thirst.

i also have a decreased appetite in summers but im in texas. its HOT. i just cant build a hunger when im dripping sweat and my clothes are sticking to me. i stick to drinks and cold foods.

Do you also get stomach aches? I went through something similar, but would get a stomach ache every night. The stomach aches progressively got worse and worse. Turned out to be gastritis- omeperazole helped for a while- my appetitie even came back, but I eventually had to see a gastroenterologist who prescribed something stronger.

I have a hard time eating or drinking anything in the summer. The last thing I want is something in my stomach in this heat!!

Its pretty temperate here, but I garden at least an hour p/ day in summer I get hot! Like many others, I eat a lot of fruits and veggies during the day. What might help is eating some nuts or yogurt for sustained energy. Been making popsicles with fruit and yogurt to munch on and healthy snack for my girl. Maybe just adjust portion size in summer? Also, are you drinking plenty of water? You may be getting stomach cramps from your body craving hydration then getting some all at once? Maybe.

I noticed when it's really hot and I feel like I'm in an oven I don't want to eat as much. I don't know why. and yeah, at night I find myself so hungry and need to eat lol.
I'm hoping it's the same for my 2 1/2 yr old b/c that little girl refuses to eat sometimes :P

Don't even want to imagine my hometown, humidity bleh

For me, it depends on how hot it is.
I live in the deep South, and when the heat index is 106 in the shade, and it is humid, it is just too hot to eat much during the day.

Unfortunately, when it cools down at night, I find myself overly hungry.
:(
