Losing weight is not about calories in vs. calories out..it is about blood sugar stablization, getting the right protein, fats and carbs at each meal and eating clean food. (organic, grass-fed beef, free-range eggs, etc) Another factor is sleep! If you are not getting the 7-8hrs of sleep, then cortisol levels rise in the body to help keep you up, but this causes a stress response, holding on to body fat and breaking down muscle tissue. Successful weight loss is 60% diet, 20% sleep and 20% exercise and the right kind of exercise for you too. If all three are not in sync, then it will be troublesome.
I do wellness consultations that addresses all three issues into individualized programs, but hopefully that gives you a start or at least an idea. Feel free to email me if you have any more questions.
