The YMCA in Alpharetta just off northpoint should be able to offer a class for you.
Thanks,

I am looking for swimming classes in the Alpharetta/Roswell/Cumming area for my son and husband to take together. This would be the first lessons for our son. Can anyone recommend a location?

YMCA is great. They have one on Post/majors offer many different classes with parents too.
Try the Alpharetta YMCA inside pool on Preston Ridge. It's very nice or Wills Park.
Seaventures is excellent...both my kids went there and are now great swimmers. They really know what they are doing.
They are located in a strip mall at the corner of Nesbit Ferry Road and Holcomb Bridge Rd.
I like the Atlanta Swim Academy(http://www.atlantaswimacademy.com). They are in East Cobb, not too far from Roswell.
The Forsyth YMCA has swim classes for all ages and you don't have to be a member. Their web site is: http://www.ymcaatlanta.org/Branches/FCY-Forsyth_County_YM...
Click on programs and look for Aquatics.
I also saw a flyer at my daughter's daycare about someone who gives private lessons. If I can find it, I will post another reply.
I am looking to get my 4 year old swim lessons too! Good luck!

Hi S.,
The Alpharetta YMCA on NorthPoint Pkwy offers what you're looking for. I'm hoping to have my husband take classes with my son (25 months) this spring at the Y. I don't think that you have to be a gym member to sign up for swim classes but I'm not sure. I think you can be a program member and still register for classes and other programs.

We've used Swim Atlanta - they have several locations, one in Roswell, off Holcomb Bridge Rd, a little west of GA-400.
They have a heated indoor pool for the kiddies.
check out Cottonwoods Pools. B. Frady owner. Red Cross certified instructors. Three sessions beginning June 16.

Marci Barag is great, she train the kids the floating technique at her house in East Cobb. She lives off Paper Mill Rd. in that Sibley at Paper Mill neighborhood. I know several of people in this area that have used her. She starts this at age 6 months. I heard she has a whole memory album about the floating technique. I am taking both my 2 yr and 6 month old this summer.

i highly recommend any accredited "Infant Swim" program. they have very high standards and your child will learn to survive and support himself as well as to swim.
our son was a dare devil with no fear so i was searching for something more than the regular lessons.
for regular lessons, my frinds have had good results from swim atlanta in johns creek.
btw, a new infant swim program is opening in cumming the first of april.
