zenana spa is the best and they cater to moms!

So, my sweet husband wants to buy me a massage for our anniversary, however, he says that I need to pick the place (which is really okay with me :-) Problem is, I don't have a clue where to go. So, I'm looking for a spa-like environment, not a therapist that will want me to come back, this is a one-time thing. Price is important, I don't know what the average cost is. I'm a pretty firm believer in "you get what you pay for", so I want someplace that balances quality & cost. Would prefer Clackamas, Milwaukie, Gladstone area, but Happy Valley, Oregon City, West Linn suggestions are welcome also. Thanks in advance!

Hi,
Zenana Spa is the place to go for mama massage in SE Portland.
K. S.
I second the Zenana idea. They are a great spa and they cater to Mamas! You can check them out on their website: http://www.zenana-spa.com
"DOSHA" on SE Hawthorne is wonderful.
Also, I know a woman who is GREAT, but she only works out of her house. She is in Lake Grove. If you want her number, email me.
The Haven of Rest day spa is great - on 132nd Ave at Sunnyside rd. It's in a very pretty old house and has a really relaxing atmosphere. They also have some really unusual but wonderful massages, like the peppermint wrap and massage and hot lavender massage (wonderful!)
I know I am suggesting a place that is not in the area you would prefer, but in SE Portland I had the best massage by Sarah at Dosha on Hawthorne. It was THE best massage I have ever had. They have a spa-like setting, and you can enjoy the hot tub, etc. before/after your massage. You can even get your hair cut/style or get a manicure/pedicure while you are there, too! I got it as a Christmas present two years in a row from my mother-in-law, and I just love it! When Sarah shook my hand, she had a very light and gentle touch - so I thought it was going to be the worst massage ever! But I was completely wrong and am planning on going to her again soon. I am pretty sure that you can do couple's massage, so both you and your husband are in the room together, too.
Olena's Day Spa on 82nd near the Johnson Creek exit of 205. It's not a terribly nice neighborhood, so when you drive up to it, you're wondering how nice it'll be inside..but the inside is just gorgeous and luxerious and they take very good care of you and it's reasonably priced. I got a whole spa day there for my birthday last year and it was wonderful! Try the hot stone massage; it feels great!
