I live in Naperville and I would like to get some estimates on having my asphalt driveway torn out and redone. Has anyone had good luck w/ any asphalt companies? Thanks

I'm going to recommend another idea - permeable pavers. Where asphalt causes water to runoff into the storm drainage system and then our drinking water, permeable pavers allow water to seep through and be absorbed into your ground, thus filtering the water. Also, asphalt is dark and absorbs more heat, adding to global warming and heat around your house. Permeable pavers are lighter colored and reflect light - better for keeping your house cool and saving you money on a/c.

Here is some information: http://www.paversearch.com/permeable-pavers-introduction.htm

Just thought I'd give you food for thought.

We actually just did this last week. We were very impressed with the company we chose to go with. Great professionalism, friendliness, and excellent work!! Neighbors have commented on what an excellent job they did, as well. We feel he went above and beyond to do a great job particularly with the trickiness of some of it. They tore out the entire old driveway along with a concrete pad from an old garage and laid an entire new longer driveway to our new garage. They didn't take any shortcuts and actually did more than we expected to make it "perfect". We were quite impressed with their high quality work for a good price. It's called Angel's Paving in North Aurora. The phone number is ###-###-####. Best wishes!

Hi L.. We used a company back in 2006 that we really like. We got a few estimates and went with this company and were extremely happy. They tore out our old driveway and layed a new one, they also widened it by a few feet and made a a small curve design by our scrubs. They did a GREAT job, quick, clean and friendly. They even drew us a floor plan so we could see exactly what they were going to do before they did any work. The company was CAP Community Asphalt. I think they are in Downers Grove. The number is ###-###-####. Good Luck. I think you would be happy with this company but it's always good to get a few est.
