I have worn contacts for 20 years and I get my Acuvue toric lenses at Sam's. If I had ordered from my Dr it would have been $70 a box, but I get them for $33ish at Sam's.
After many years of wearing glasses, I am finally making the switch to contacts. I know they are generally cheaper to purchase online, but I've read some scary reviews about a few of these online sources. Where do you order from? I am also wondering what kind of experiences others have had with 30-day lenses. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

www.visiondirect.com has the best prices! I have been using them for several years & have not had any problems with them. They ship & deliver fast. I even had to return some lenses last month due to a change in my prescription. I returned the lenses & they issued a credit very quickly. I have been very happy with their prices as well as their customer service ;) Check them out!
I wear Focus Night and Day contacts. They can be worn for 30 days at a time. I generally wear mine for twice as long. Just keep them clean and they can sometimes last a little longer than the box says. I just recently bought my contacts from Contact Lens King. I searched for several days and they were the cheapest at the time for my prescription. They had to verify with my doctor my prescription and then they mailed them to me. They kept me informed with the process thru email. I have bought from the 1800contacts before, but the prices did not seem any different than from my eye doctor.
I love my contacts and have been wearing them for over 10 years.
Good Luck!

I also order through 1800contacts for myself and my dgtr and have been pleased. I don't know if I am stating the obvious, but you need to go to your eye doctor and let them fit you for contact lenses before you try ordering from an online distributor. You can ask all your questions directly to whoever is helping you and they will help you get the contacts in before you leave the office. They will also help you decide what lens is best for your eyes, I have a problem with my eyes getting dry easily, the focus dailies work great for me, but they are relatively expensive. My dgtr has no issues besides vision correction and wears a two week lens, but she often can stretch that out to a month.
Good luck! You will really start to enjoy all the 3D movies better once you get into contacts! I'm working on my hubby to make the switch right now, too!
I have used 1-800-contacts for YEARS. They will also allow you to return contacts you don't use and give you full credit if they are not outdated. They will take back single contacts as well, does not have to be an entire box, if your prescription changes as long as they are still in date and not expired. Also have found them to be the cheapest and they offer free shipping if your order is over a certain amount. Search online too, cause they will match others offers! I love them and have NEVER had a problem!
Sam's Club is a safe alternative at very reasonable prices if you are a member.
I used to use 1800Contacts for years but switched to www.visiondirect.com in the last couple of years. They have the same selection and quality, but they're much cheaper than 1800contacts.
My husband and I have worn contacts for years. I used to purchase online or by phone thru 1-800-contacts. I have never had a problem with them and they usually offer discount rebates. One time my doctor changed my prescription and they accepted the unopened boxes of contacts back toward the purchase of my new prescription. However, lately I have been purchasing from Costco. They have many of the major brands available right off the shelf and they are even cheaper than 1-800-contacts and I don't have to mess with sending in a rebate to get my money back. I would highly recommend Costco then 1-800-contacts. Another thing, with Costco they will keep your precription on file and then you can buy what you need at the time if you don't have the money to buy a year's worth of contacts at one time.
Hi D.,
I have ordered contacts online for many years. What I do is google the type of contacts prescribed and whoever is cheapest wins. Watch out for rebates though, some sites you have to buy 4 or 8 boxes to get the advertised price. The sites I've used is shipmycontacts.com (5% discount code CIBA06025 until 06/30).
i've gotten mine from 1-800-contacts
i use 30 day, & have always used them I like them
my husband just ordered from visiondirect.
1-800-CONTACTS. I have used them as my sole source for years.
I've gotten my contacts from 1800contacts for many years and have never been disappointed. They once sent me a pair that had a hole in the middle of the lens (this also happened to me once when ordered from the Dr. office so it is a manufactures issue not the distributor) so I called 1800contacts and told them the issue and they sent a new pair plus free contact solution, no questions asked. I wear acuvue advanced with hydraclear and they are very comfortable, I can even sleep in them on occasion.
