I am really pale and this is what I use. It was created by Scott Barnes which is Jennifer Lopez's make up arist. It gives you that Miami glow. :)

Hello Moms,
Summer is almost here and I am looking for a good sunless tanning lotion/spray that doesnt smell that bad and doesnt make me look orange. I am very white so some lotions make me look orange.
Thanks! :)

I am super faire too and am always keeping my eyes open for a great self-tanner.
The only one I've found that I really LOVE is Luminess Tan. It's basically an air brush self tanning system. It goes on really light and I love the color. Being so fair, I usually have to use it twice back to back to get a nice color. But, it's not too dark and looks natural. The downside... it's expensive. So, if you really want to get a nice system that you can use for months/years to come, it's a great investment. You can check it out at www.LuminessTan.com
As for all the sprays/lotions out there... I haven't found one that I really love. I've used the Jergen's lotion that has the self tanner in it and it works fairly well -- but you have to use it every day and I really don't care for the smell.
I would love to hear from someone who has used a lotion/spray that they love. Just to have something in between my Luminess...

Have you looked at the tanning towels on places like hsn.com or qvc.com? I've never tried them, but I've heard good things about them. Its supposed to be easier to get a no streak tan. I'm considering trying it this summer. I don't want to lay out or tan in a tanning bed and I would like to find something that my sunscreen won't mess up.
Bath and Body Works has a lotion caled "Dial a Tan". It has a twistable nob that you turn to make the lotion darker or lighter so you can adjust it to shade right for you. You can start really light since your skin is fair and if you want it darker, hen you can simplay adjust the dial. It also helps to make the taning look more natural and gradual.
You can read reviewws on it on there website if you want more first hand info.
nutrogena micro mist!!! please dont think im odd but i have used it on my 3 year old who does pageants to give her a natural sun kissed look. i use the medium color on her because it only goes 2 shades darker and its very light and dries in 5 mins. i have only tanned her 3 times (twice for a pageant and once because i was tanning my sister and she HAD to be done too). its very easy to do and its about 11 bucks for a arisol can. also i have yet to see it rub off on clothes.
Jergens makes a great lotion/self tanner. It is so subtle, it takes about 3 applications to see a difference, but this means the tan is gradual so you don't get any streaks or orange color. I have fair skin, and I prefer the "fair" or "medium" tone.
I bought the spray can tanning spray that lasts for about a week made from Sally Hensen. You have to look at the can to match up your skin color. I know that when and if I do get tan, I turn kinda yellowish while my friend gets redish. The can has diffrent color tans so pick the right one. It will look fantastic and you will eventually tan your legs naturally so this is the best way to be tan overnight. ;)
For two summers now I've used Loreal Sublime bronze - and I really like it. I only use it on my legs because the rest of me sees the sun enough of the year that it all kind of evens out or I'll get a spray tan a few times over the summer. But after I apply a thin layer, I'm always sure to use a cotton ball dipped in water to lightly wipe ankles, knees and any other area that might darken too much.
Clarins has an amazing one in a gel it's called Gelee Auto-Bronzante Express. You never look orange it's gradual and has a nice clean scent. Just make sure you exfoliate before using anything, because where ever there is a dry patch of skin and self tanner will show darker in those spots this includes elobows :)
