Hi C.-
I live in the Spring/Tomball area but when I was pregnant with my 2nd child (6 mos old now), I took the prenatal exercise class offered at our local YMCA (the class was recommended by one of the patients at the doctors' office I worked at--she used to teach the class there). I LOVED it! Our class ran for a few weeks (8? not sure anymore) and was 2 nights a week (or there was a day class for 2 days a week). Our particular class started out in the work out room one day and then the pool the 2nd day but then the teacher just decided to have us in the pool all the time. I was hesitant about being in a swimsuit already feeling like a whale, etc.. but the water felt so good and we wore those buoyancy belts. The exercises felt so refreshing.
I would definitely recommend this class to anyone who's pregnant so I'd check out your local Y and see if they offer a class there. There's a discounted rate if you're a facility member already or you can pay a little bit more + a program fee (one fee per family per year) just to take the class.
Hope that helps! Take care!
