My son Dylan will be turning 2 the end of this month. He absolutely adores playing with other kids, though recently he's become a bit jealous. As of right now, there is one boy his age who he sees somewhat regularly. At church, he's in the middle, the other kids are either 4 and up, or newborns, so there's really no one his own age for him to play with. Also, since I am an at home mom, I rarely get the opportunity to connect with anyone other than my husband. I've become very close with Riley's mom, but we get very few chances to see eachother. I'm worried that Dylan isn't getting the socialization he needs. I'd be more than happy to have a group of mothers (and their kids) over if there is no other way.....
Any suggestions?
I have a great group of moms from MA/Ct somers, ellington,wilbraham MA. We all get together and have playdates, social event, moms night. Let me know if you are interested.

There are some great yahoo groups based in specific parts of CT and Mass, there is an interview process to ensure safety and then they set up playdates at local areas, you could try this as in option. Just go you your yahoo groups and enter something along the lines of CT MOMs you should be able to find many there and read all about them before you commit to anything.
My daughter will be 2 at the end of this month too. We are not currently involved in a play group because i have no idea how to find one. I would love to join in on a play group if there is enough interest. We are moving at the begining of november so i would be happy to host a play group after we have settled in.

You could call the library and see if they are running any playgroups for two year olds. Also, check with Springfield Infant Toddler Services and inquire about their playgroups, or if they could direct you to any. It sounds like you are right on top of things.... Nice job and good luck with finding a playgroup; there should be quite a few available....
