We just moved into the area and cannot seem to find play groups or activities for the kids to participate in. We had all kinds of options where we used to live, so we're struggling! Any preschool sports or programs like Gymboree? Any info you can give would be great!!! Thanks!!

Martin Memorial Library in York City is a great resource. They have a bunch of children's programs and they renovated the library about two years ago. It's a great place. If you don't want to go into York City to the main library there are branches all over the county. Check out www.yorklibraries.org for more information.
In conjunction with Martin Library I'm starting a play group for parents who are interested in teaching their children Spanish. The group is open to any parent, regardless of whether you're fluent in Spanish or not. Our first meeting is April 9th at 6 p.m. in the study room at Martin Library. We'll be offering story time in Spanish, crafts, activities for children and parents, and we'll have guests from the community who will be participating. We do have Gymboree in York. I get coupons from them sometimes for the programs they have (music, art, play). I always wished I could be involved with a play group. I have a 3 yr old boy and 1 yr old girl. Maybe we could get something going around here. It would be nice to talk to other moms. I have found that many of my friends that I had before that do not have kids have little to no interest in spending time with me.

A lot of local play groups come to Atomic Bounce because it's a good way to hang out for 2 hours while the kids have fun at an affordable price. You can meet a lot of other moms there and find out about some of the local mom's groups. It's only $5 to come play

M.,I have also just moved to machester township in april.They do have some things at the martin library on e. market and s.george st., they also have a moms club that I am thinking of joining. It is like mops ( MOTHERS OF PRESCHOOLERS) if you have ever heard of that. I will have to look for the paper I printed out to see where it is.If you want to know where anything is I would be happy to help.
