Looking for Play-based Preschool near Sugar Grove, IL

I'm looking to put my daughter in a play-based preschool program this fall (she will be 4 in August). I know I'm thinking about this kind of late, because I'm told most schools already started their registrations in January but I'm not looking for anything too hard core because my daughter already knows most of the things they would learn academically in a preschool setting. I want her to get used to being in a classroom setting but knowing that she'll be going to school for the next 15+ years, I want her to be able to enjoy being a kid and play as much as possible. We live in NE Sugar Grove and I don't want to drive more than 15-20 minutes to take her to school so that would probably limit me to Aurora, Geneva, Batavia, Oswego, Montgomery, etc. Any recommendations for a good play-based preschool program?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Unfortunately, the Waubonsee school did close, otherwise that would have been nice! I looked into Brightest Stars but I didn't like the combined ages. I ended up choosing Batavia Covenant Preschool in Batavia and we love it there. Thanks for all the info!

the community college in Sugar Grove had an AMAZING preschool back in the 90's. My co-worker was going to classes there and kept coming back to work with so many neat things the kids were doing, all play based, all wonderfully fun yet educational. Not sure if they still have it or not, but I can't imagine they have gone backwards in their thinking.

Waubonsee community college used to run a preschool program called the magnate place. I would check there. They had 2 and 3 day programs

I live in Sugar Grove and both my daughters went to Brightest Stars preschool on Division St., near the Aldi. Amy Peters is the owner/teacher and Tracy is the other teacher. They are wonderful! The number there is ###-###-####.

Btw, I read the other responses and I think the preschool at Waubonsee has closed.
