I'd like to know if anyone knows of any good pediatricians in the Yukon area. I've been taking my daugther to a family doctor but would really like to switch to a pediatrician for her 18 month appointment. I've heard good things about Dr. Martha Arambula. Has anyone used her and do you like her? I really want to stay in Yukon. Thanks for your help!

I think that you would be happy with Dr. Arambula, Bowen or Hanes as others have mentioned. They are all very good doctors in Yukon.

Dr Dina Bowen is great! Great with kids and and offices with Dr. Arambula, who is also very good. Dr. Arambula has seen my daughter a few times when Dr. Bowen is out or on vacation and she is very good too.

I have two little ones & also live in Yukon. I just want to defer you from going to Flores Pediatrics. I had nothing but terrible care & service from their office. The waits are super long and they do not take their time with you. I don't know of any other peds in Yukon, but I was refered to a wonderful doctor in Edmond (Jesse Campbell). Dr Campbell is quite a drive being located in the Mercy health office off Santa Fe & Danforth, but definately worth it. Good Luck! C.
I am a mother of five and our doctor, four still go to the pediatrician, see Dr. Alecia Hanes in Yukon. (Her #is ###-###-####...bad when you have it on memory speed dial...LOL).
I can only say for myself personally, I have had one dealing with the doctor you mentioned in your original post, her partner...our doctor at the time was not on call...and I would NEVER take one of my children to her again. I know there are always going to be differing opinions and everyone is not going to get along with everyone, but I truly belive that this was far more than a "personality" issue.
I will also add that the years that we have been with Dr. Hanes when any of my children have had a serious health issue arise, she is very quick to find the best specialist and refer them for the absoulte best care. She and her staff follow up promptly and show a great deal of concern.
I know it's always hard finding the right fit, but I wish you luck and I hope that you find someone very soon.

I take my son to Alecia Hanes and absolutely love her and her staff. Every time we go, even if it's just for a refill on allergy meds, she comes in and reviews all his information with us. I've asked the staff before and they said she insists on having a minimum 30 minute appointment time unlike many places that do 15 minute appointments.
They also always return phone calls promptly and have been great about handling insurance referrals quickly. They even helped me pester our old pediatrician from Nashville repeatedly to get our son's medical records transferred.

My name is L., and I have a 17 month old. I use Dr. Catrina Bourne at Integris Physicians. She is just my family physician, but she delivered my son and has done all of his pediatric care. She has always done such a wonderful job with him and my family. She is always there to help, and she also helped me stay relaxed with normal newborn issues The line to get in is never very long, and anytime I have had something happen where I needed to get my son in that day, she has always helped and made schedule adjustments. She is located at the Integris Canadian Valley Hospital. On the west side of the building are some physician offices. Hope this helps!!
We love Dr Bowen, she shares an office with Dr Arambula. They are all very nice and seem to really care and answer calls fast.
