Looking for Pediatrician and OB/GYN near Hinsdale

I go to Midwest Women's OB/GYN out of Advocate Good Sam in Downers Grove, and my daughter pediatrician is Dr. Zahida Muzaffar also out of Advocate Good Sam. The drs are Midwest Women's delivered my daughter and were wonderful and very informative. Dr Muzaffar is very thorough and runs her office herself with her husband. It's small and very personal.

B., welcome! I think that my OB/BYN really is the best! His name is Dr Lanny Wilson and his office is just north of Ogden on York Road in Hinsdale. His number is ###-###-####. He delivered all three of my kids and I wouldn't have it any other way. The Hinsdale Pediatric Group (which is very close to Dr Wilson's office) is also very good. I was referred to them my someone who brings her kids to Dr D Campbell there. He was not taking new patients, so I took my kids to Dr Trevino. She is great - and has young kids, which I like. I love my OBGYN who is in Women's Healthcare in Hinsdale. Dr. Napalatanio. I just had my first baby in June and she was great. It is a busy practice but I never had to wait when I went. There are several MD and nurse practioner. Pediatricians is a different story, I am thinking about changing mine due to wait time when we go in the office. I have heard Dupage pediciatrics is really good.

Ditto to the 2 mothers who responded - West Sub Women's healthcare in Willowbrook. I see Dr. Cannon but love all the doctors in the practice. Dr. Murray delivered my daughter.

Ditto to La Grange Pediatrics. We see Dr. Corte and also like Dr. Tumma. I agree on Dr. Kaczor - he is not for medicine unless necessary. Dr. Corte will error on the side of caution, and piece of mind for the mother.

I love Dupage Pediatrics... it is on plainfield and off of cass. they are great....

I also use.. Dr. Guant at OBGY-N on ogden/ fairview.

I go to West Suburban Women's Health in Willowbrook, also as mentioned by another mom perviously. I love the practice. You can choose either midwifery or traditional doctors for your care both pregnancy and after. I just love my doctor and was lucky enough to have her deliver my son. I also had to have a surgery, which she preformed, and could not have asked for better care. If you want more info on the MD's, just contact me and I can give you my 2 cents for what it's worth.

For pediatrician, we go to LaGrange Pediatrics also, however, we see Dr Matray. We have seen all the physicans there and like all of them. Another big favorite there is Dr Tuma, alot of my friends have her for thier childs pediatrician.

For OBGYN I would recommend Dr. Sondra Summers through Loyola Hospital. She has two places that you can go. You can go to the outpatient center right next to the hospital or the North Riverside location (which I like a little better). She works with a few others in her group and I really like them all. (Dr. Deighan and Dr. Stoeffler..both women. As for Pediatrician. I really LOVE my doctor Dr. Akhras. He is in Berwyn. He is one of the best doctors and not in a group (I want my pedi. to really KNOW my kids..and he does). The only downside to his practice is that there is usually a long wait (he never turns down a patient, so if it's cold season...it's a long wait). He does not take HMOs though. His number is ###-###-####.

Keep in mind that there is a hospital in Hinsdale that is pretty good. I don't know of any pediatricians through that hospital though. I've heard some good things about the obgyn group. However, the few doctors I've seen there (a fertility specialist and a high risk pregnancy doctor) I have HATED.

LaGrange hospital is also pretty close and the LaGrange Women's Clinic doctors are good too. I just like Dr. Summers and the other two women that she works with a lot!

Dr. Mary Horan at the women's practice associated with LaGrange Memorial Hospital was awesome! I saw her for years until I moved downtown and needed to find one closer to me. However, I have a couple of friends who still go to her, and my grandma has also started going to her. She's great, and I've also heard good things about the other doctors in that office, as well. Although the office is in LaGrange, it's only about 10 minutes from Hinsdale.

I too will recommend West Suburban Women's Health in Willowbrook, affiliated with HInsdale Hospital.
My sister-in law used these Dr's & recommenede me to them when I became pregnant in 2005. I saw the 2 midwives Patti Scheider, & Shari Haney. Both are very knowledgeable & were there for the birth of my daughter. Dr Carpender the OBgyn in the office delivered my daughter (due to the fact she was breech & I had to have a C-section.) All the Dr's there are simply wonderful!!

I would recommend Midwest Midwifery (www.midwestmidwifery.com). They have a couple of different offices and deliver at a couple of hospitals. I think there should be one close to Hinsdale. Good luck with the move.

For OB I would recommend West Suburban Women's Health - all four Doctors are great! I can’t really tell wich one I like more then the other. I enjoyed seeing all of them while I was pregnant - Dr Cardone is great, Dr.Murrey is really nice and sweet, same as Dr. Carpenter who has a good sense of humor and Dr. Cannon who delivered my baby 11 months ago - I couldn’t ask for better Doctor. All of them are excellent professionals.

For Pediatrician - we go to Du Page Pediatrics in Darien. Same practice - group of doctors, but you can choose primary and still see all of them. Our is Dr. Kelly, but we've also seen Dr. Lynch and Dr. Davis. Dr. Gardner first checked our newborn in the hospital. They have this office for many years, same great pediatricians, well respected. Also affiliated with Hinsdale Hospital.

Many people on this site recommended West Suburban Women's Health in Willowbrook, affiliated with HInsdale Hospital, when I had this same inquiry for an OB/GYN. I've only gone 2 times, but thus far I really like them. There are 4 docs and 2 midwives and it's an all women's practice. They can do ultrasounds on site and they have lots of resources as well.

We go to Dr. David Kaczor, also recommended from this site, at LaGrange Pediatrics (Willow Springs Rd and 47th st). Also affiliated with Hinsdale hosipital. He's really nice. I like him b/c he doesn't prescribe unless absolutely necessary, is easy to get in to see, is very patient and kind with my daughter, and is very thorough. He's quiet spoken, but I like that too.

I have a Pediatrician in Orland Park and a OB/GYN in Palos Park, I don't know if you are willing to travel there for these dr's but I think they are just great, I live in Downers and I travel to them. there isn't enoough space for me to write how much I like them/trust them
