Hi ladies! I am newer here and of course want the best for my child. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of great pediatricans? I live around Western and Diversey but I am willing to go anywhere in the Chicago area. Also, looking for perhaps sitter for few hours???? THanks!
My best friend lives in Chicago w/a 9 month old. She uses Dr.Weissbluth's practice. You may have seen his book Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child (or something like that). She loves the practice. Good luck.
Dr. Weisbluth, the sleep doc, is here in the City. Check out website at www.sweetbabies.com. Any one in his practice is good. I take my daughter to Dr. Goldstein who is a really nice guy.
Additionally, there is Town & Country Pediatrician.

Try Town & Country Pediatrics on Clybourn Ave. (2070 I think). All the docs are really great. I've been going there for 18 months--since my twin girls were born. They share a parking lot with the Blockbuster and are right next door to the Treasure Island grocery. Know the area?
Regarding sitters, you may want to try Sittercity online (small subscription fee) or for a more grassroots approach, you may want to hang a couple signs up around the DePaul campus (store, student center, gym, etc...). I'm sure you'll get a ton of responses for a few hours per week. Expect to pay around $10 -- $13/hour. In case you don't know, the main DePaul area is on Sheffield btw. Fullerton and Webster.

Anyways, I take my 4 month old boy to Dr. Armand Gonzalzles at Riverpoint Pediatrics in 2435 N. Ashland Ave. They do pre-natal consultation so you can get to know the place and staff before having your baby.
I am looking for a baby-sitter myself.
