Looking for Pediatric Dentist in the Frisco Area

My daughter is 3 and I am looking for a good pediatric dentist. I would love some good 'mommy advice' on who's a good doctor before traumatizing my daughter with a bad first trip to the dentist. I live in Frisco, but am willing to travel to surrounding areas for a good doc. Any advice would be much appreciated!

What can I do next?

I don't know any dentists in Frisco, but I just wanted to say that as I was checking my email I was viewing all the Mamasource requests and came across yours and I thought to myself....when did I post this???? Since we are both "R. B" I was a little thrown off. LOL!

We go to Dr. Kelli at Frisco Dentistry for Kids. My kids love it and Dr. Kelli is great! They are at 121/Preston area next to Best Buy.

Patrick Ryan, DDS at Presbyterian Hospial of Plano is FABULOUS! Many of the physicians there use him and he is wonderful with all kids. He trained at Texas A & M and then Scottish Rite, so he has great experience with children with special needs as well.

I took my daughter to a ped dentist in frisco off legacy, twice, but she was terrified of his approach, slap them on a couch and start working. His office was kid friendly but most of the work was done by his assistants, not much hands on time for him. I guess thats the way of the world these days. We now see Dr Yu in The Colony, she has a small office and has an assistant who helps HER, she does all the coaxing, and explains to the child whats going on. I watched her worh with my child over a 2 year period and she now proclaims "thats my dentists office!" everytime we drive by. They will not push the child, my daughter had an issue with bitewing xrays, she says they hurt her mouth, but now she will at least try a few times and they are very patient with her. All in all a good experience. The first guy we went too, kind of tramautized her, but I do not think it was from a lack of caring, just the picky way my daughter is. Good luck.
