Looking for Parent Friends in Evanston Area

Hi, my husband and I (and our 9 month old daughter) recently moved to Evanston and we'd like to meet some other natural-minded parents in the area. He's a stay-at-home dad so he'd love to get out of the house with our daughter once in a while. I work full-time and most mom's groups meet during working hours so those don't really work for me. I'd love to hear from any other natural-minded moms, dads, or couples in the Evanston/Wilmette area.

you should try the parents circle and meetup.com
i think the parents circle is specifically in and for evanston parents and meetup.com has a couple evanston based groups. also, just going to the playground is great for meeting other parents.

Hi J. - My husband stays home full-time with our 2 year-old-daughter and just started a meet-up group for other Stay at Home Dads and their kids in the North Shore area! Hope your husband will check it out at: http://www.meetup.com/North-Shore-At-Home-Dads/

J., there's a Chicago-Land stay-at-home dads group. They get together Thursday mornings, typically at a park on the north side of Chicago. Here's the website: http://www.chicagodads.com/groups/chicagodads

Hi J.,

If you are still nursing, the Evanston La Leche League meets on the second Thursday night of each month at St. Francis Hospital. You can find more information at llli.org about the meeting. It's a nice group of both working and stay-at-home moms, and there are usually lots of kids, too.

Hope this helps!
