Looking for Pants/bottoms for Skinny 2 1/2-Year Old

Hello fellow moms!
I'm hoping someone will be able to give me some ideas on where I can find more good quality and affordable pants for my almost 2.5 year old. He's very very slim (3th percentile weight-wise) and I have the hardest time finding any good pants for him. Either we have to get him something that are too short (so they won't be falling down) or they'll be at the right length but we have to constantly pull them back up to his waist.

I try searching for overalls too but they're more denim ones and not always all that comfortable for all-day wear.

Please help me out! Thanks everyone!

My little boy who's a little over 2 years old is also skinny in the waist, but with long legs. Look for adjustable waist bands and I've had good luck with Old Navy and sometimes Gap. Target also has some..I think it's the Osh Kosh brand. When I see them on sale, I snag a few at a time because they're hard to find and pricey (especially Gap). Good luck.

Hi! Have you tried looking for pants with adjustable elastic? I believe old navy offers them. If the pants are still too loose, you can cut additional button holes on the elastic. Certain brands tend to run big: Gymboree, Children's Place, Kohl's. But I love the Gymboree overalls. They make light cotton ones.

Have you tried the Garanimal pants at Wal-Mart? They're inexpensive (about $5)and they seem to run skinny/long.

Hi G.,
I have a 7 year old boy who has always been tall but thin - still is to this day :) I had the same issue but I have found that buying him pants at the Children's Place (and sometimes even Target) is the best bet - look for pants that have adjustable bands inside the wasitline - they have stretchy material on either side of the zipper on the inside waist band with holes along the elastic - there is a button on each side and you can tighten the pants from the inside - this way you can keep the right length but make sure the waist is tight enough for them not to fall down :) Works wonders :) Hopes this helps.

Yeah my oldest daughter has always been in the 5th percentile and the adjustable waist bands are the best. If it doesn't have those pants will not fit her. Old navy, gap and some target things have these waist bands in them-you just gotta look and it usually has a tag on it saying adjustable waist band. Oh also H&M has adjustable and I love there kids clothes-they are around the price of old navy.
