We will be needing a pediatrician in the Plano area that is open minded with alternative medicine. Any suggestions would be helpful.
Dr. Bain with Healthy Kids Pediatrics in Frisco. She is definitely not a "prescription writer" doctor.
i agree with the other posts that Dr. Deborah Bain (Healthy Kids Pediatrics) is a good option.
We love Dr Bain. She's been my daughters ped for 17 months. Wish we had her as a ped when our little one was a tiny baby.
I was told recently by another mom that it is now a 3 to 4 month wait for a new patient appointment. Haven't verified this info since we are current patients.
Not sure what you mean by alternative medicine but a good pediatric group in Plano is North Dallas Pediatrics. I think they are on 15th St. Dr Siebert is excellent if she is still there. Congratulations to you & your husband.
I LOVE Dr. Bain. I am not sure what Renee is talking about her not being holistic or into alternative medicine.....she is balanced. She is medically trained but life has taught her that medicine is not the core of the issue. She integrates alternative choices as she sees fit.....will she write a Rx if needed....absolutely, but she will offer other alternatives for parents interested....she is not pushy. I love her approach. If she is accepting new patients I would jump on the opportunity to have this lady and her staff beside you in the medical decisions for your child. I drive from McKinney.....with a grateful heart.

dr. bain didn't push unnecessary antibiotics. however, there were a few things she tossed out at me that made me think she wasn't totally sold on the idea of alternative medicine and that she was just listening with a "how can i make this patient think i agree with her" kind of ear...
Dr. Chartrand in McKinney is great and will let you do alternate or no vaccinations. He also does acupuncture.

probably the closest to holistic you will find around here. her NP is amazingly trained alt. medicine and GREAT in every aspect.
