Hello, I live in the SW metro and looking for a great Obgyn in the Edina, Eden Prairie, Chanhassen areas.
We are hoping for a female doctor, who is compassionate and is experienced with multiples and will encourage conception of multiples, and vaginal delivery where possible. We understand that twins come with risks, but just don’t want a doctor that will nudge us towards having a C-Section as the only option.

If she is a Christian, that will be fabulous!

Someone referred to Dr. Lisa Baker at OGI but we don’t know if she is compassionate or her faith affiliations. Any feedback on her will be great. Also, any feedback on Dr. Alina Jeffers (Paul Lason Obgyn) will be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

What can I do next?

Dr. Marcus out of OGI is WONDERFUL. We loved him, that being said It was more important for me to have a capable/ experiences Dr. than what religion he was.

I have multiples and it went off w/ out a hitch, unfortunately I had a friend that had a VERY different experience (death of one of the multiples) .... horrible. I honestly believe that following Dr. Marcus' mandate of timing for delivery, etc. made all the difference in the world. Best of luck to you - such an exciting time!!!!

I highly recommend Dr. Mary Anne Jacob of Diamond Women's Center in Edina. She is a mother of 5 (including a set of twins) and is Christian. I have seen her for over a decade. Great bedside manner and very accomodating.

Because this is a national, and even international, site, you'll save hundreds of busy moms a wasted click if you change your title to your city instead of South West Metro area. Probably hundreds of cities have a southwest metro area. Just a thought.

I switched to OGI and have been very happy with them. I go to Dr. Grajczyk who is a DO. She seems open to your wishes and to work with you, but will ultimately do what is best for you and your baby in delivery. She knew I really did not want a C-section and did all she could to avoid it but I had some problems when I got into delivery and when it got to crunch time she told me it was what was best. Dr. Teigen at OBGYN West is really nice too but I only went to him for a short while because they don't deliver in MG and that's where I wanted to deliver.

Dr. Donna Block at Clinic Sofia in Edina. (keep in mind then you would then have to delive at fairview southdale). She's almost always in the Minneapolis/ St. Paul magazine as one of the top obgyns in the metro area.
Clinic Sofia is an all women's clinic. There space is very comfortable.
Also, she intentionally only has one or two other drs working with her so that the chance of her delivering your baby is very high! (many clinics have multiple obgyns and even though you've been seeing a certain dr, it's whoever is on call when you go into labor that will be there with you).
Check out their website and go for a visit!
