Looking for New Pediatrician in the Marietta Area.

We just recently moved back to the Marietta area and I need to find my daughter a new pediatrician. What I am looking for in a pediatrician is someone that aids AND respects parents in making decisions about their child's healthcare. What I am NOT looking for is a pediatrician who thinks that they already have all of the answers and is not interested in discussing other options when it comes to my child's healthcare. The pediatrician we had been using before we moved was very smart, very informed and up-to-date with information, and willing to discuss all options. We did not always agree, but he was respectful and polite, and we in turn valued and respected his opinion. If the pediatrician any of you use sounds like they may be a good fit for my family, I would love to know who you are using. Thanks! :-)

I highly recommend Sandy Plains Pediatrics. They are in East Marietta, near Shallowford and Sandy Plains roads.
Our doctor is Dr. Laurette Ho and she is open to my need to not constantly medicate our kids. She is a doctor first, and cares deeply for the care of my two girls. However, she listens to me when I think they are prescribing too much medicine or when I want a second opinion on the condition of my girls. (Our baby is sick a lot and we've had to test her for an immune deficiency, so I have experience with childhood illness beyond the norm.)
It's a small practice with three doctors, an NP and an incredible staff of nurses. I love the women at the front desk as well.
As you can see, I can't say enough about them.

We use pediatric physicians PC in Roswell (I live in East Cobb). They are great! They listen and are very respectful. They always ask me what I think is going on with my kids before they diagnose any real issues. Good luck in your search.

Dr. Roger Sisk of Children's Physicians is awesome and so is his staff. It's just him and several nurses who also try to help you on the phone when possible. He has tons of regular patients who have been with him for years...my 1st since 2y and my second since birth. He hangs pictures in the hall of the kids if you bring one in, and he definitely respects a parent's choice & opinion. They never have more than a few people there, with typically 2 back in rooms and 1 or 2 in the lobby to prevent the spread of sickness & yet you don't have to wait forever to get an appt. or be seen. It's great and I highly recommend them. They're located in the Village Green Kroger shopping center across from The Avenues West Cobb (look for "Pediatrics" sign). Their number is 770/524-8986. Tell them Miss LaLa (or Lauren McBride) sent you. :-) www.MissLaLasTreehouse.com

Dr. Carla Neal-Haley in Smyrna. Her practice name is Genesis Healthcare. She has a nurse practitioner working with her who is outstanding as well. We recently moved away and I miss her a lot. She is a pediatrician and an internal medicine doctor, so my husband and I saw her as well as the kids.
