Hello, I was wondering if you ever found someone to pick your child up from school? I've been searching for Taxi mom services in Wylie but haven't found anything. Thanks for your help!
My son will be attending Birmingham Elementary in Wylie. Does anyone know of a Mom's Taxi or After School Rides Service that picks up at Birmingham?

Hi B.,
My name is I.. I read your message about Mom's taxi and as I am in the same boat as you was wondering if you had any luck finding someone to give your son a ride ...
I have a daughter who, starting this Aug, will be going to the pre-K program at Hartman Elementary in Wylie and will need a ride to her babysitter in Murphy at 10.30 am ...
Any input from you will be greatly appreciated!
All the best,
I.

Get yellow pages and search for " Taxi Mom" they might be able to help you. Or look for moms on PTA list to see who lives closet to you, you might work things out with a reliable and dependable mom. Be careful here, do not be in a hurry, do a background check first.
Alternatively, hire one of those that do school runs for a fee. Agai, be carefull, do not give out valuable information about your child such as socials, birth history. Put everything in writing (no adoptions) and specify it is just temporary to oick up and / or drop off your child. Do not leave your child with a child molester. If possible, find a job that fits your child's schedule or you can work around with. Check health records too. Do not be in a hurry, child's safey first.
You can move very close to your nanny who picks up the other older child. Let the school authorities ( pricipal and teachers) know you are the birth mother and make out time to attend PTA meetins and all extra-curricular activities at your child's school. Keep your relationship with the prospective nanny or child care giver away from your husband. Some husbands tend to inflituate using this means. Do not let someone else run your home at the long run. Look for a highly princilpled lady or a man if your the seven year old is a boy. He might be into sports which keeps you away and on the field most evenings and Saturday mornings, You might want to add this to your agreement with the caregiver. But remember the special bonds you would create with your child if you take him to games and extra-curricular activities yourself. Make out time for your children,. Take a part-time job instead if your husband is working full time or you do 32 hours on a week-end and one-8 hours on a week-day. Do not let anyone take and keep pictures of your children if you do not trust them. Have someone come over to your house to watch your kids if possible. Ask for their references. On the other hand, the victim is not the employer but the child care giver. Or should you consider day care? Can you afford the fees? Weigh the options and enjoy your family.

My service (Kid Express), is in Richardson, so we can't help, BUT - try My Kid Shuttle - if they can't help you, they may know of someone who can (www.mykidshuttle.com). Good Luck!
I pick up my grandaughter at 3:30 from Harrison. Until recently, I picked up a child at Birmingham. It works out perfectly with the time I have to get my grandaughter. I am semi retired and would love to pick up your child and get him safely home.
