My husband and I just bought a house in the Mt Penn/Reading area last september, about an hour away from all our friends and family, being a military wife and a stay at home mom is great, but at times a little lonely since none of our friends have kids, let alone live nearby. I am looking for a mom's group or play group, or some moms from the area that would like to start one so i can have some conversation during the day that comprises of more than the 30 word vocabulary focused around cartoons and ice cream that my daughter has. I have one girl that will be 2 in september, and our sun was just born july 28th. Any clubs, groups, activities in the area that anyone could recommend would be greatly appreciated!
Hi J.... The MOM's Club is a group that is everywhere. If you get on their website it can direct you to the contact person in your area. We've moved alot and I found the MOM"s club in our area and it is a really nice group. There are many activities for kids, mom's night out, book clubs etc. Good luck!

Yes, the Leesport group is great! In addition, the MOMS Club is in your area. Here is the link http://momsclub.org. I am in the Oley Vally chapter and I am almost positive that there is a chapter in the Mt Penn area...but they don't have a website. E-mail them for more info.

There is the Leesport Mothers and Childrens Group. There are Mothers from all over the area in the group. It is a very nice group.
