This is a great group of chiropractors and nutritionists who specialize in allergies. They are not MDs, but have had incredible results.
My son suffers from allergies to pretty much everything. He also has acid reflux and a hernia that causes him issues and limits his diet further. He is seeing a nutritionist as well as a GI doctor but I am looking to get a second opionion. Ideally, i am looking for a homeopath that is also an MD so i can eliminate a doctors visit. I really appreciate any help. My fun, active, social, and loving son is now overly tired alway, scared of everything (from all the procedures and hospitalizations) and only wants mommy 24/7.

He's a regular M.D. (teaches a class at Wayne St University Medical Center) as well as an alternative doctor that does herbs, accupuncture, diet, etc. My mom has gone to him several times, she says he's VERY nice and listens to your concerns. Not sure if he takes children.
Hi D.,
I feel your sons pain! I had acid reflux so badly that it was unbearable! Through the advice of friends, I found a WONDERFUL Kinesiologist. He is totally inavasive, natural and homeopathic. He is a chiropractor as well, so accepts most insurances. My oldest daughter has Alopecia, and he has helped her grow her hair back, and my youngest had horrible rashes that the medical doctors couldn't figure out. Turns out, she has reactions to cows milk (which he figured out instantly), and the change has been incredible! He is located in Warren, on the corner of Masonic and Schoenherr. The number is ###-###-####, Dr. Lanny Lipson. He is amazing!
I hope one of the girls here has the name: but there is a wonderful MD/homeopathic in Sterling Hts (bit of a drive, but sometimes a good doctor can be worth it - trust me!).
I can try to go through the memory banks (after the coffee) and see too, if I can find the name.
But he is great with treating for both: if you have to have the antibiotic, he will give you the probotic (no one does that unless they are educated or you yourself go get it.).
I have heard only raves about him when I was in school from all the staff members.
As for your son; you can always look to other alternative measures for his needs as this is not as scary and you can be with him. Reflexology, Craniosacral or even some Homeopathy.
All are very safe for him (and you) to keep him calm, reduce the anxiety (and pain/discomfort) as well as control the allergies and acid reflux (w/o the side effect that meds can give.) but will not interfere with the meds.
Best of luck! :)
